You may hate me for this.
Dare I say that I prefer to play against shotgun rushers? It's speeds up the game so much, and who SERIOUSLY enjoys a whole team of doorway hardscopers? There are some snipers still but I'm having a good time with the game being more fast paced.

12 RepliesI personally enjoy matches where everyone uses snipers. I can go do laundry, vacuum the house, take a nap, go to work for 12 hours, make something to eat. By the time I'm done there's been about 4 deaths and it's from the one person jumping off a cliff out of sheer boredom.

Personally the only reason I dislike shotgun rushers is because I never have a shotgun on in PvP. I think I just feel like I'm dropping my personal skill level by using one. I usually seem to subconsciously challenge my self in lot of games. This one I prefer snipers or fusion rifles. But I rarely ever play pvp. So I've missed a few metas that everyone complains about. If I sniper its only on a few certain maps with open space so I cover my teammates if there are enemies snipers. So pantheon is a big one for me.

1 ReplyGame get's more fast pace indeed. People need to be a more mobile sniper(hardscope 10 secs, move on with primary and get kills with non special, hardscope for 10 secs "repeat") not the hardscope 10 min, oh someone rushes me i might need to usey primary and continue hardscopeing

5 RepliesShotguns kill me alot. The sliding shotgun move is silly. But it's part of the game so I'm fine with it. What people hate that I like to play against are shoulder charging titans. They are so predictable.

I'd take thorn/shotty meta over this. I got consistent kills, there wasn't nearly as much lag as this, matches may have been the same loadouts but at least it felt fast paces and fun. Now, matches are slow. Who can snipe first determines who's probably going to win, especially in trials. IB is a lag fest, and considering this months game mode, it's wonder anyone wins. No one's able to play the objective, they don't care to capture points, leaving the one or two that do work gaining points to die by all supers, snipers, shotgun campers, etc etc etc. On top of red bars. This IB, I have pointblanked so many guardians with a shotgun, critical hit markers, yellow numbers everywhere, as 335 and yet they do not die. Or the damage does not register on them. The same happens with my snipers, be it NLB or anything else, my scouts only seem to register about half the time, supers just hit them and they flinch at best. Destiny is not fun unless you are being payed to hype this game, that's literally the only way this looks fun. At this point myself and many the players I've met over the last two years only even play due to time and money already spent on it. RoI is the last chance I'll give them. They better make this DLC better than the entire experience from beta to TTK, that bar's pretty low already so it can't be that hard.

Interesting how considering how much OP people say snipers are, most people have decided (as on every IB) to use shotguns... dont really get it if it is so underpowered...

1 ReplyGood snipers won't hardscope 24/7. Only the bad ones will. Good snipers know where they need to scope in, and know when to back off. But yea, shotguns force situations where someone is going to die quick! ~[i]TheGreatNike[/i]

4 RepliesThorn was an anti sniping gun. The poison screen scurried snipers. Shotgun meta was only fun for those that had the best. Shotgun play around the closed quarters areas was exhilarating. The anomaly, fire base Delphi around b zone. twilight gap. Fellwinters. Good times. Except for the blink jumping. That part was annoying.

You will be pissed to the fullest getting warriored 24/7 and it will annoy you to the fullest trust me. I prefer people use snipers and I'll avoid long hallways at all times. My only problem is aim assist, if they can tone it down a bit I'd be happy.

I agree, I mean, sure i have more shotgun kills than any seecondary, but i have FRs equipped most of the time. I play with primaries and find the game to be much more exhilarating when I'm not just waiting for the sniper to get bored of aiming, or trying to shoot him with TFC and get him to miss
