Who REALY is Variks?
Are friend from the Reef is a Fallen from House Judgement, but where did he come from? What is his REAL name? I believe it is actually Erik, as in "Erik the Variks". This is a serious problem I need adressed. I NEED ANSWERS!
Edit: I understand the lore significance of Variks and understand he is "Variks The Loyal". This is a joke and meant to be treated as one, not a lore lesson.

Really has 2 L's. Oh, and he's Variks, The Loyal. He once had a place with House Wolves, a scribe and record keeper to them (well, of all his Fallen history, but also the the Wolves), after the Fallen fell into infighting many years ago after the Whirlwind event. He betrayed House Wolves to the Queen to both preserve himself (and his house) and because he could not stand Skolas and his tactics. Skolas would target civilians, employ suicide stealth squads, infiltrate and hijack other Fallen houses for leverage, Variks could not rest with Skolas's rampant violence. It is also hinted by Variks that he once, for a short time, was under House Devils (or at least around them). As he tells the story of how he stole the staff he wields from a Devil Captain. Variks boasts that he was much more clever than that Captain.

3 RepliesWell he's the last member of the house judgement, which handled fallen law for one. It's possible that he was present at the whirlwind too, when the darkness took their homeworld and the traveller left them
