I just hate how class items are static. You need to choose a shader to a class item, not the other way around. Even legendary class items aren't effected. My hunter and titan look weird as no shader works with their class items. My warlock looks fine though

Yeah I noticed that when i was playing my hunter, that now current year class items really change color, but then I went and equipped a nice year one cloak and it changed. It's just weird that they decided to make most class items stay a certain color.
