I wouldnt mind matchmaking id just be afraid of running into trolls

That's true, though if you have a few friends but never can get enough for a full raid it would lessen the probability if getting trolls. Sadly as I wish for matchmaking I know that if we got it there still might be some difficulties for a little while after implementation.
