Holy wall of text batman. There has always been lfg and the forums here, you could have sought other players or joined a group looking for players. Your lazy, now you regret it.

  • I neither am lazy, nor regret anything. I actively seek involvement from lfg but end up finding 1 or 2 people stuck in the same niche as me, nobody will let us join them. And when we do join we are kicked. I simply wish there were more options for people very short on time and people who wouldn't normally be accepted by people with the current mindset of the player base. E.g. must have x weapon, exp players only, 330+ , no noobs, etc. People expect newer or less experienced players to join groups so they can "git gud" but it's very difficult when nobody will accept you without experience. Basically more options for newer players or people who can't pour copious amounts of time into the game should have a way to gain experience so that they can join other players without discrimination.

  • Nobody expects you to join groups to get good, whats expected is that you form your own group of new/inxperienced players, work.at it bit by bit and get through. That's what we did, it took practise to do our first hm KF completion. We expect the same if most people before they join us. Your main problem seems to be that no experienced group will carry you through, why would they, experienced groups just want it done quickly, you'll cost time. Sometimes we carry an under leveled player, but we need to be in the mood and they have to he our sort of person.

  • Well that's what I aim for, but I know that newer players want some guidance a few times so they can get the hang of it. I know people's qualms with carrying through activities as by how much it's frowned upon in trials and such. Though finding other patient new players itself is an arduous task. Perhaps if they put options to look for other inexperienced players in lfg sites it would help to solve the problems of discouragement. You have a point and tying in what someone else said though about it becoming harder to find groups after the game releases it makes it harder to find people. Though honestly sometimes I just go and advertise the game to friends irl in hopes they'll join me lol.

  • If you're short on time you don't belong in the raid and the devs should certainly not make it easier for you to join a group when you know good and well that you're going to bail on this group before completion. You and I have had the exact same resources for finding a group, only difference is my 100 or so completions.

  • Short in time implying a few hours at best, let's say, 2-4, at least half that time is spent trying to find a group or maybe longer. Make the assumptions you will, saying we had the same resources etc. I won't argue saying I didn't have lfg, forums, etc. But trying to find a group that accepts inexperienced players and/ or disabled players is tedious and the chances of finding one within a reasonable amount of time are very low. Most inexperienced people want to find a group fairly quick and get some raids done to get exp so they can be 'up to par' with the expectations held by most experienced players. The people with little time are in the same boat, want to get a some experience so they can finish faster and it becoming lesser of a problem. More raid exp equals better experience finding raids and playing them. You are putting down people who want to play but have constraints upon them preventing them and basically saying that people who don't have tons of time are shit out of luck and should do something else because you assume they'll be a detriment. It's that kind of exclusive and condescending views that make it so hard for the inexperience player niche to find people to play with. As that's a widely shared view by most experienced players.

You are just making shit up, nowhere did I say anything like that. The fact is that I put the time in when this raid first came out. I spent the very short time that it took to find and join a group many times while it was relevant. Just like the old raids that aren't played because they are no longer relevant. This is how this game works, play shit while it matters or you're going to have a difficult time finding a competent team to complete it with later. This is not my opinion, it just is what it is. I am not a dick for understanding this particular set of circumstances.

  • I never said you were a dick, apologies if you felt I implied it. And yes I know that's how games work, and its the problem for newer players, and while I agree that one could pour in what little time they had, as you said you did, it's not always applicable to everyone. I'm simply saying there should be options for people who are inexperienced due to varying factors, not just laziness or lack of motivation, etc.

  • The bottom line is the core part of your argument that people without enough time should have an option to quickly join an activity that they not only don't fully understand but also could leave at any moment. That's just not how raids are meant to be played. They're made for the people that have the time to dedicate to the game, to the people that they have agreed to play the next 1-2 hours with. And that 1-2 hours is now that we've spent the last few months memorizing it, the first completion in the world took over 7 hours and was completed by a team that knew each other well. How many random matchmade teammates do you think could have gone through that together? That's who raids are for, the people that dedicate the time to do it when it's released.

  • I understand that, I'm coming off as greedy on the topic though which is my fault but mainly I just wish there were more options to newer or inexperienced players. Matchmaking is just one solution though I understand the problems with it and how it breaks the games core objective for the raid. I know people who share my thoughts have suggested things like an in game lfg type matchmaking, though idk how. That aside, I just want to list the possible options that would help people, matchmaking being the quickest way. Though if you know of any suggestions, such as groups, besides the one mentioned in a different comment by kaoru, I'd openly listen so I could share with some of the people I know in the same situation I'm in, albeit not on ps4 (which would solve my personal qualms if they were since I'd have a group lol). I understand your sentiment though I wish matchmaking was given a chance. At least a test chance on like an older raid to see how it would work etc.

The only advice that I would give to people in this situation is to use the most effective and sometimes overlooked feature offered to us. And that is to find an active and friendly clan. A clan that uses an alternate form of communication outside of the game. This is IMO the best way to meet people and possibly create gaming relationships with so that you have people that you can play with every week or just discuss the game, people that understand that "life happens" if your short on time. This being said, not all clans are created equal and finding one that suits your playtime and personality may take a little work, but the payoff for finding people that you enjoy spending hours with(when you can) is well worth it.

  • Yeah, clans are a big help, the most off-putting thing to people is the fear that they'll be kicked due to inconsistent play time mainly. Though as with most a decent effort to find one can reward large. Thanks for your input.
