No stop being lazy, making a group is easy now with Bungie.net than it was before with lfg. You're an idiot if you think matchmaking is a good idea. People will have no mics, people would be clueless. Matchmaking would cause headaches.

  • I'm not saying that I haven't tried to, and while yes matchmaking could be viewed as a hindrance for some it could be a large benefit for others. I'm more suggesting that an option to do matchmaking would be a large help to some people in the community, which would neither be a detriment to those who still do it in groups nor for people who cannot get groups. Honestly I'm just stating all these things in hope it can be easier for people with disabilities and/ or people who in general aren't good at the game, because they are discriminated against in full and while yes there are options, there are few and it would be beneficial to create more options for players who cannot fit in to the standards of this games current playerbase.

  • Large help or a large amount of wasted time. People that never have done a raid is because they are lazy plain and simple. They literally think someone is just going to invite them out of the blue

  • No, why would you think that. Literally some people have constraints that prevent them or bar them from raids. I wouldn't have a problem finding a raid if I said, "335 x class, x exotic weapon, very experienced, adult" but as soon as I change that to, "335 x class, inexperienced looking for help" the amount of people willing to invite me drops almost 10 fold. You will get people, but it eventually ends in getting kicked because of lack of experience a large portion of time. It's not lazy if you actively make efforts to do things, it's not lazy if you can't spend 3+ hours on a game, it's not lazy if a disability or inexperience causes people to not accept you. I don't fully understand the mindset you hold. I understand that you may think people aren't trying hard enough because 'with enough effort you can do anything'. However to some, not all, a smaller niche actually, have things preventing them from constantly being able to attempt raiding etc. It would be a different story for casual players, in that case I'd agree and say yes it is laziness, but for people actively looking to do raids but the 3 hours looking for a group takes up all their time, it's extremely discouraging to some. Tl;dr - While your argument is valid for a certain niche of people it's not the niche I am referring to.

  • Players that say matchmaking is needed are the ones that never done a raid and have no clue that raids need teamwork, not only that dying a lot can get player frustrated. Most crybabies asking for matchmaking think raids are strikes. 99% of 0 raids players are just simply, LAZY(some players have medical problems which are the 1%, that 1% can add me and I can help them through the raid). The 99% lazy group think someone will all of a sudden invite them to a raid team and teach them the raid, it doesn't work like that you have to do the work and make the raid group. I'm a year 2 player, I was 312 light before I did my first raid, and guess what, I was too lazy to try to make a team. I put my big boy pants and made a group, I'm glad I did it because raids are really fun especially your first time doing it. Tldr: people that have 0 raid completions are lazy and think raids are like strikes.

  • I'm not saying I've never done raids, I've done a decent amount, albeit slowly. If you're offering to help less fortunate players I have no qualms with what you're suggesting. Though I do think that a completely new player should be showed the raid by an experienced player so they can understand it and go on their own, which yes can be boiled down to laziness if they can't get a team to take them but also isn't helped by a decent amount of people saying they only want experienced players. Not to say everyone does, just a fair amount from what I've seen (so I have a bias in one direction, though more input from more people always helps).

  • It's simple, I just posted my first time doing a raid and a guy helped me. There was 4 noobs and 2 experienced players. It did take like 3 days to finish but we got it done. If I would have never made that post asking for help on the raid I would have never done a raid. I posted on lfg and Bungie.net. It was during a holiday break can't remember which one. People can say oh I don't have time, well I didn't neither, I made time when I finally had a holiday break to do it. Not all of it has to be done in one day.

I never thought if it in the perspective that it can be spanned over a few days, if people are patient like that it would be a large help to a lot of people. Though yes, those without time always have holidays, breals, etc. (Secretly but not so secretly I wish there were more holidays lol)
