I mean they live to serve the dragonborn and they order you to kill parthunaxx "you're not welcome here until he's dead" WHAT? The only reason you exist is to serve me and you make me kill an ally who helped to kill Alduin?
-
The blades are a lot like modern feminism. They were needed once but are totally useless now.
-
I despise the Blades with every hair on my fursona's pelt. The fact that they are essential makes it tenfold more annoying.
-
I've never done their quests I see no reason Paarthurnax should be executed for his past crimes, besides he has already more than fully repaid his debt to men/mer by helping the dragon born
-
The blades owe their very existence to parthunaax and they still have the nerve to try and subject him to human law. Knowing they are incapable of doing so themselves, they then have the audacity to make ultimatums of the Dovah?! I tell them to get -blam!-ed every time. I'd rather chill with the dragon anyways. At least he has some interesting things to say.
-
I really wish you can just lie to them about him. Not like their lazy asses are going to check for themselves.
Or can anyway, considering you need a shout to get to him.
-
I don't get why considering he was a war hero in the dragon war
-
Only thing I hated about them was their questline was broken. You get virtually nothing even when you do kill parthunax, and in the process you lose out on the greybeards which help you find words of power. The only thing you gained when becoming a blade was a buff that let you do more damage to dragons. Not worth.
-
Never once did I have to interact with the blades lol. I found them after I fought Alduin alongside Paarthurnax, and they still wanted him dead like wtf
-
I do. They think im gonna kill parthanax
-
Edited by dova spook: 7/9/2016 1:59:25 PMI could not find it in myself to kill parrtunax, he's a peaceful dragon that's fighting his nature, unlike the blades. (He defeats me with his philosophy)
-
Wish you could kill Delphine.
-
Plus they are supposed to make us the one true emperor, but nope just a member, living together in a shitty cave
-
Who cares? Makes no difference anyways.
-
I felt no remorse killing Paarthurnax. 1) He was on that mountain fighting his very nature, which is to lust for power. He could have reverted at any point. 2) He was extremely old and not in the best shape. 3) He committed countless atrocities against mankind before turning traitor to his own kind. 4) You can't trust a traitor. 5) His meditation bonuses sucked.
-
I think it's safe to say that everyone hates them.
-
Yeah the blades in skyrim look like sharp paddles
-
I shouted the old man off of the mountain but because he is immortal he'd just keep trying to run back up and chase me. If he had a horse he might have stood a chance.
-
This is quite a big reason for me why skyrim was actually a pretty bad game. It's a good example of little to no choice being offered in a game series that's known for choices. You couldn't choose to side with parthuurnax instead (not officially anyway, since you'll still have the quest to kill him). Also, the blades are unkillable.
-
Agreed. When I got to them first time, and they told me to kill my Dragon buddy, I said lick my balls and left. I'd rather have the blades dead
-
Parthunaxx will live on forever in my save files
-
Mods, and furthermore console commands, are a blessing.
-
They don't even give you anything useful once you kill him. I tried it and reverted the save.
-
I know! I hate having to put an end to the sultry tones of Mario. To be fair, he did essentially commit regular acts of genocide when alduin was in charge.
-
Is Skyrim:Remastered out yet? Too lazy to search. Lots of ppl talking about Skyrim.. And yeah, they are dickheads. Greybeards > Blades
-
I'm pretty hyped for the remaster of skyrim. I just checked out the mods and they are pretty cool. It includes new magic, friendly dragons, cats. Those are the only ones I care about.
-
It's why you have to kill the Blades.
