Covenant is a free round, except when there's four hunters that refuse to turn around. Prometheans are just absurd.

In warzone firefight I don't think the problem is that the enemies are too strong, I think it's that the players are too weak. Halo 5 has the shortest time to kill in any halo game so now grunts, jackals and elites are deemed a serious threat.

Firefight was actually good. Warzone Firefight was poorly executed, but is still a great concept.

2 RepliesDoes anyone remember the good old days of ODST?
-
And the almighty grunt goblin

3 RepliesOne shot by Grunt

And the whole infinite lives & spawn in power weapons/vehicles thing but whatever
-
Infinite lives.

1 ReplyThe timers for both respawn and how long you have to complete it for rounds 3-5 are utterly stupid. The standard enemies like elites, grunts, soldiers, etc are way too -blam!-ing strong in comparison to how easily a spartan can be killed combined with the ridiculous respawn timer. Then, you supposedly have to use these all powerful REQs. And what do you get as a reward? Barely anything except for this one time thing of a few gold packs. When you generally have to use legendary or mythic weapons to even have a moderate chance of winning. And that's not even if they're wasted when you're killed by the overly strong enemies. Basically: Good job 343, you royally -blam!-ed up. Again.

1 ReplyHalo 3 ODST on normal was hard at first. This is a whole new level.
-
1 ReplySometimes you die without even knowing what killed you. It's almost like swat...
-
That, and map size, reqs, promethians, bosses, amount of players, and respawn timer...

Trudat

3 RepliesI've found even with friends that the Covenant rounds are all very doable...but prometheans definitely need a huge nerf. Way too spongy, way too many of them and way too much damage. The req system is also a mess. You should automatically start at level 3 so you have BRs and Ghosts. Because when you get phaetons on round 2, you're pretty much done.

Warzone Thats the difference. 5 waves of either bosses, enemies or defending. Firefight is fighting to either survive or fighting to rack up points.
-
Edited by Onxide: 7/5/2016 6:54:35 AMI actually like it better than regular WZ. It provides a challenge at times.
-
3 RepliesNo actual survival. You're rushing to complete objectives to continue instead of just fighting off waves of increasingly difficult enemies to continue (which is what firefight was literally made for)
-
Least fun I've ever had in a halo game...
-
12 RepliesWF sucks on so many levels, as does the game in general. WF shouldn't be on legendary only. I'm tired of dying from 3 shots from a -blam!-ing soldier. Prometheans in general are a bitch to fight and whenever i get a covenant spawn on round 5 it's like I might have a chance to beat this in the random scrub group I'm in.
-
2 RepliesI only played 2 games so far of that mode, and we won both games. It wasn't hard or anything, but actually quite boring.. The maps are way too big. I need to run most of the time.. In Reach you had these nice medium sized maps that allowed for some sweet action all the time. And I liked having lifes better. But I've never been a big fan of Firefight.. T'was fun at first, but got boring fast.
-
Do you know what I like more than actually playing warzone firefight? Spending 30 seconds staring at the garage, spawning in, running across the entire map, getting two-shot by a ghost, repeat.
-
1 Replyyes, who thought creating bullet sponge enemies with half map aim bots and 300% damage was a good idea? lets also make them spawn them in huge amounts and make sure that they are faster than Spartans. literally ai banshees insta kill you sometimes. like 3 random shots out of nowhere kill you and boom 30 second respawn...
-
1 ReplyWhat pisses me off the most are how it doesn't tell you where the objective is during the intermission then immediately spawns tons of enemies right on top of it while you spend 30 seconds of your timer getting over to it and then the whole area is already over run with enemies. Personally, I think a slight change that would make it a lot more fun would be a 2 or 3 min timer per round that when expired just disabled respawning. I think it would keep an initial level of crazy mayhem but also bring that crazy survival feel back for the end of the rounds

No, I don't think it is difficulty. WZFF is more WZ than FF. The biggest differences are in the structure of the gametype (WZFF has timers instead of lives, and is more about hunting down enemies than surviving them).
-
One's kill within the time limit while the other is last as long as you can. Where's the similarities other than AI? XD
-
The biggest difference is that WZFF isn't really a traditional horde mode.
