Halo 5 just recently released their highly anticipated Warzone Firefight. I and many others I bet were hoping this would save Halo 5 for us but in my opinion I can sadly say it hasn't. Halo is my favorite franchise and Halo Reach is my favorite game, firefight in ODST was all about survival it felt like you couldn't rush anything and had to actually use teamwork with your friends to complete rounds especially Endure. Halo Reach took it in a different direction it was amazing in my opinion with all the different game modes and weapons you could use to just have a great time in the firefight mode. Halo 5 and 343 have sadly ruined firefight for me and I bet many others. 343 forces the REQ system on you which isn't a good system in general, they throw an unfair amount of enemies at you early on with nothing but your assault rifle and pistol with maybe a warthog. The respawn timer which increases with the rounds is unnecessary why should I have to wait to get back into the action on firefight where you're timed? Also the bosses are just bullet sponges like in normal Warzone. I find myself with my BR sitting next to the REQ station refilling my ammo poking my head out shoot the boss and repeat that's not a fun experience. With how many enemies are spawned around the bosses if way out of balance and I find myself just staying back trying not to die and not being able to stick my head out for even a second before dying. You can't high jack anything and I found that out the hard way. The final boss I guessed before I even made it to the last round but I didn't know there would be two Warden Eternals. I still haven't completed all five rounds and I'm a pretty hardcore Halo player.
If I have missed anything you find outrageous or unfair let me know. If you have positive things to say I'm all ears as well I want to find something good but I can't. Halo is dying and I'm sad to see it. Thanks for reading my rant.

Its not as bad as I originally thought but it is incredibly difficult. some round are nearly impossible, mostly boss rounds.
-
The enemies are too -blam!-ing powerful to be that many of. There's also really stupid spawns. I was using a req station and a bunch of crawlers spawned around me. Like really???? Once they fix the difficulty it'll be fine. It's pretty fun.

2 Repliesis it worth renewing my xbox live? Haven't played Xbox in ages, only really like Halo at the moment.
-
ODST still has the best firefight feel.
-
I only play for reqs. When I feel like having fun I jump on swat and dominate the other team.
-
Im playing halo 5 free this week. Personally, I'm liking warzone firefight, but it does need some tuning. The amount of enemies spawned and the short time limit you're given to do large tasks (ex: kill 8 bosses) is ridiculous.

1 ReplyHalo 5 is bad period.
-
I hate the REQ system as a whole so there's that. But I've had my fun with it. I wish it was smaller scale so as an individual I could do more carrying cause I've only played with randoms and actually winning all ( rounds is a struggle

So far it's a lot of fun. When you get multiple Mythic Warden Eternals it's a little unfair, especially if teammates aren't cooperating. Other than that it's well made, plays great, and is a lot of fun.
-
I like it, but it needs tweaking. When two Warden Eternals are flanked by ten knights with no rockets, things just go south. I don't mind the difficulty of the enemies, when victory is an uncertainty, it's that much sweeter. Plus you get gold reqs for killing legendaries, a fast way of unlocking more weapons and armor and whatnot. Too bad it's high end reqs you usually won't get to.

4 RepliesNo sense of teamwork The 5 matches I was in we all lost since everyone tried to steal kills from people to place 1st. People stole 2 assassinations from me since they wanted the kill. It's just a giant kill fest and everyone trying to get kills rather then win the match

6 RepliesEdited by eviltedi: 6/30/2016 8:54:53 AMJust like I have been saying, it's not Halo FF at all, it's Warzone AI without marines, it's a req based 5 round invasion type game, not the FF some of us wanted. I have not touched it since the beta, it's rubbish imo.

6 Replies343/Microsoft has outdone themselves when it comes to making a bad game. The only thing Halo 5 does better than any other game in the series is forge. Every other aspect of the game has been done better in a previous title.

Some paragraphs would be nice

It's not bad, but oh my god the adds are powerful, also why is double wardens a thing at round three, they need to fix the kill/assist medal system( I took at least 40% or so of the prophets wrath's health and got nothing to show for it), rewards aren't to bad, it's alright but could use a fix here and there

I gave up on Halo. And Destiny just doesn't quite fill the void, though it could. So sad. Reach was my favorite too.
-
it's terrible
-
It's pretty sad that if you talk bad about halo 5 you get destroyed. Firefight is garbage. Give me halo reach and ODST firefight any day of the week over this shit

So far out of all the WZFF matches I've played, I've only completed all 5 waves with randoms twice. I know randoms is a key word that most likely explains the losses, but that's all I've got to work with. I can't imagine how the players who downloaded Halo 5 for free this week to play WZFF feel. Jumping right into a WZFF match with no REQs sounds like a lot of fun. WTF was 343 thinking? And even with REQs, some of the enemy attacks are just too strong to even get enough shots off them to do serious damage. The increased respawn timer after each round is also a dumb lazy idea for difficulty. I guess I could stop playing WZFF or Halo 5 in general seeing as I have most of the stuff I wanted anyways. It's not like they've teased anything interesting as far as updates go right?

19 RepliesHonestly, I'm starting to think that 343 just flat out hates casual players. I stopped playing Halo 5 a few weeks ago because EVERYTHING in that game is sweaty and ultra competitive. Arena is inherently full of tryhards, and Warzone has been plagued by spawn-trapping farmers for months. The only thing casual players have is infection, and that's not nearly enough. I was going to come back because I enjoyed the firefight beta, but I've heard that they made it ridiculously difficult and the respawn timer was absolutely awful. God forbid anyone have some goddamn fun in Halo 5.

It's not "firefight" it's "Warzone" firefight..

I'm loving firefight, but the 2 things I despise about it are the people I usually get paired with and defending the forerunner relic. Seriously, you can't expect anyone to beat that when the objective pops up and everyone is halfway across the map, and on top of that, hordes of enemies spawn on the relic we're defending, so by the time we get there, the relic has lost a quarter of its health and even more enemies start spawning, and your spawn point is halfway across the map, which can be even worse depending on how long it takes to respawn.

Edited by Kel of Kells: 6/30/2016 9:05:08 PMSome of the combos of rounds are stupid in my opinion. I've lost the last few games I've played due to way too many enemies early on. Our round 2 challenge was to kill 50 promethean soldiers. There simply isn't enough time at req level 3 to kill that many if they're firing back and 3-5 shotting me with everything. Edit: after making this post, my next match had us fight 2 warden eternals at round 2. We killed one in the span of an entire round. I'm glad I'm getting tons of req packs and XP from this, if the payout was bad, I wouldn't be playing it.

1 ReplyI appreciate that they ramped up the difficulty, but maybe a bit too much? Take for example on the new Sanghelios map, the final round facing 4 mantis bosses. 2 of which spawn in the upstairs of the bases. This is extremely difficult to surpass.

A night regened all his health on the last second and we lost :/
