Ain't no party like a Striker party cuz a Striker party never stops.
Nice job. I love doing this too occasionally. I like using MK's for the extra charge time and aggressive turns. My clan mate loves the Greaves. It's guaranteed to generate mountains of salt. I usually get people chasing me to get even.
I don't do it too much because I end up giggling and then laughing so hard I start getting rekt.
Good players can counter a Striker easily. If I get shut down a lot I just switch tactics.
I also like doing ability-only matches with Gunslinger, Voidwalker, HammerBro, and Sunsinger. I started doing this after I finished all of the crucible subclass quests. These really force you to figure out how to use every subclass' abilities.
People who complain about shoulder charge are the ones who stand in one spot panic shooting.

Not true. All it takes is a guy to round a corner and boom-dead. In the open it is never a problem but inside any kind of hallway its a nightmare. Even with a shotty or sticky i usually end up dead the same time as the other guy, unless he misses but that's rare.
-
You're right it's easy to get caught in a hallway or by a striker freight train coming around a corner. The only way to address this is to watch the radar and mind your positioning. We all get beat sometimes when we're out of position or trying to push. Letting it happen over and over again is the problem. This isn't because the striker class is OP. It's not adapting. I always think to myself "OK. You only get one." I get mad when someone gets me multiple times the same way. Same thing as double peeking on snipers. You are just asking for it. I know I will keep charging until it stops working. :-)
-
I wouldn't even say it takes good players to counter it. I'm not that good by any measure but I figured it out some time ago. Usually the only ones that get me are from around corners, or from behind if I'm not paying attention to my radar. That's not to say I don't screw up taking down on oncoming charge, but it's become far less of a problem.

I love fusions myself. Annoying as heck for rushers. Voop!
-
Damn, forgot about fusions.... I have a Thesan FR4, a Split Shifter Pro and a Plan C that work wonders for rushers....

I love that moment when you plan c a shoulder charging titan

Hell yeah. It's definitely made me think about tactics. I won't use the"wambo" or whatever it is called, but I generally save a smoke nade in case of a fast approaching Titan. Then I shadestep and try my best. Sometimes I get rekt, sometimes they do. Good time either way.
-
Exactly. It's a learning progression. First you want to kill and not die as much and you get better over time. Then you find you are getting killed often by a particular weapon or tactic that you can't seem to beat. This is when you start hearing the nerf / OP posts because people have a hard time believing that they might need to adjust their play style and load out to effectively counter. As you get better, weapon and armor choices and perks start to matter more.
-
Yeah, definitely. The playstyle to use/counter Thorn will be different than Grasp, for example. That's why I just deal with the nerfs/buffs as they come and adapt. I try to not bitch about stuff and just get better. That's why those kinds of posts bother me. Or hearing things like: You play campy as hell. Not always the case. I do my best to play smart. If a guy is using DoP and Conspiracy, I'm not going to rush him in a hallway so I'm out in the open, he procs persistence and then hoses me down. If a guy is sniping I do my best to outflank/disorient.

I've found that my skill level has gone down because I'm using all three characters. And with the recent updates, I'm behind the curve...yet again. My primary problem is I have old man thumbs and you damn kids have reflexes that I just don't have anymore. Get off my lawn ya darn kids!
-
Ha! I'm definitely well past the point where I can be considered a kid. Well at least age-wise. :-)
-
Love the clan name...that happens to be one of my favorite expressions I use.
-
Thanks. I have used the expression forever too. It doesn't seem to be very common and I have no idea where I picked it up. I was really happy to snag it and the clan abbreviation SKRB ("scrub"). :-)

Precisely

The economy of your response is inversely proportional to mine. Lol!

I'm sorry. There's so many! And I'm at work! Please forgive me.

No worries. Poking at my own verbosity. :-)

Can you poke me instead? ;)

You got it.
