You wanted a YouTube video, I offered you my Twitch channel to see it live. The post we talked on was taken down and I didn't catch your username.
Well, just finished doing it and here are the first 3 games. Enjoy!
These videos not only show how many attempts fail for the people who don't see them, thinking that they all work, but they also show the little things that skilled chargers learn to do to increase the effectiveness, such as:
- Over-turning to the point where it breaks the aim assist and getting the kill from where your body is moving, this requires LOTS of practice and becomes a "feeling"
- Pushing the limits of the lunge distance/curve
- Staying extremely mobile and even weaving to dodge enemy fire
- Learning the exact timing of the Shoulder Charge activation window and manipulating the sprint to reset it at key times, this requires map awareness and planning
- Learning the enemy habits and play styles, similar skills needed to be good with Fusion Rifles
You can see each game gets better in regards to Shoulder Charge effectiveness the longer it goes on. You can also see that most people CHOOSE NOT to spec against my play style and THAT is why Shoulder Charge can be so effective, just like every other ability. If you're not set up to counter an ability and are playing in that ability's effective areas, you can't claim it to be OP. You're just ill-prepared and being stubborn. Learn to counter (mandatory "git gud" comment).
Yes, these are FULL GAMES, uncut, from fly-in to carnage report.

Brief summary:
- Game 1 = 34 kills, 27 Shoulder Charges
- Game 2 = 28 kills, 17 Shoulder Charges
- Game 3 = 25 kills, 20 Shoulder Charges
I'm the Striker you're all complaining about, not your every day average Striker Joe.

I'm usually on in the evenings during the week and most of the day during the weekends.

Edited by vB Butter: 6/25/2016 2:11:52 PMlol if be bungo is going to need shoulder charge, then replace something on one of their subclasses with blink.
Exactly, titans will (probably) never get blink, and shoulder charge will (probably) never get nerfed.
-
Very Impressive. I don't think Shoulder Charge is OP. I think that it's a few very skilled players that push people buttons but for the average players and and even really good ones that haven't mained a Titan for the past 2 years, Shoulder Charge is right where it's always been and that's a good place. ——Hard-Light-4-Life————————

IVE GOT THE PROOF BUNGIE! ITS RIGHT HERE!
-
You have literally posted a video that will get shoulder charge nerfed..... 🙄
-
Edited by xNyasha: 6/25/2016 7:12:09 PMThat's cool. I actually just saw a video today of a guy I once knew doing something similar. https://youtu.be/pj8SSu6aUKg
-
That's all fine, my gunslinger was set up to counter shoulder charge, it used to have powerful knives and sticky grenades, these were what I used to kill people charging at me, I refuse to change to shotguns just to have a counter. Having to have one weapon equipped to specifically deal with one subclasses perk, does officially make that perk op I am sorry to tell you.
-
Shoulder charge is going to be nerfed point blank.
-
My buddy who can't even manage a single weapon kill gets 15 kills a game just off shoulder charge. Tell me it takes skill. I'll always point to that.

Edited by GreenArrowDC: 6/25/2016 3:38:32 PMThanks for your helping to put striker at the top of the chart with all those class kills keep it up, we need more people like you to help ans more to start doing it, get the word out to main striker and spam the charge, you are awesome for showing everyone to meta the striker, after this video which i hope bungie sees, we should tweet it to them, when titans use striker it just adds to the chart.
-
Imo the shoulder charge should have a longer timer
-
Do you think this takes skill? Shoulder charge is one of the dumbest things put in the game. It has more aim assist than a -blam!-in golden gun lol using a broken mechanic on a broken class=skill nowadays i guess.
-
That was actually really good.
-
-
Pretty cool
-
Bump Good shit lol. I love the added salt
-
Nobody cares. This is lame. Get a life. Hell make a video of you getting a life. I dont believe its possible without video proof.
-
I'm not trying to tear down your feat - it is really amazing and the amount of skill and conditioning to do it is unbelievable - but do you think you could do the same or close with another class that doesn't have a spammable one hit melee? This is a genuine question/challenge if that wasn't clear.
-
Thank you for this video. Now bungie will know where a nerf has been needed for far to long.
-
Thank you for this video. Now hopefully Bungie will see they need to do something. At least a longer cool down
-
Please take this down, bungie will ignore the hundreds of posts against shoulder charge nerfs and focus on this.
-
Now here it is without shouldercharge
-
Shoulder charge is so outrageous lol
-
Sooooo...nerf shoulder charge? Yes? Thank you.
-
If these are the "Growing Pains" that DeeJ says Hunters have to get used to, it's time to find a new game
-
Don't get me wrong, this is pretty impressive, but shoulder charge should still be nerfed. The whole idea of a melee that is a OHK is so dumb. I'm also talking about backstab. Even though it's situational or bullshit luck, it's still stupid.
