You wanted a YouTube video, I offered you my Twitch channel to see it live. The post we talked on was taken down and I didn't catch your username.
Well, just finished doing it and here are the first 3 games. Enjoy!
These videos not only show how many attempts fail for the people who don't see them, thinking that they all work, but they also show the little things that skilled chargers learn to do to increase the effectiveness, such as:
- Over-turning to the point where it breaks the aim assist and getting the kill from where your body is moving, this requires LOTS of practice and becomes a "feeling"
- Pushing the limits of the lunge distance/curve
- Staying extremely mobile and even weaving to dodge enemy fire
- Learning the exact timing of the Shoulder Charge activation window and manipulating the sprint to reset it at key times, this requires map awareness and planning
- Learning the enemy habits and play styles, similar skills needed to be good with Fusion Rifles
You can see each game gets better in regards to Shoulder Charge effectiveness the longer it goes on. You can also see that most people CHOOSE NOT to spec against my play style and THAT is why Shoulder Charge can be so effective, just like every other ability. If you're not set up to counter an ability and are playing in that ability's effective areas, you can't claim it to be OP. You're just ill-prepared and being stubborn. Learn to counter (mandatory "git gud" comment).
Yes, these are FULL GAMES, uncut, from fly-in to carnage report.

Brief summary:
- Game 1 = 34 kills, 27 Shoulder Charges
- Game 2 = 28 kills, 17 Shoulder Charges
- Game 3 = 25 kills, 20 Shoulder Charges

I'm usually on in the evenings during the week and most of the day during the weekends.
Edit: Oh, I guess we've been trending for a bit now. Uhh...WOOOO- *ejects*
Um... that doesn't usually happen, I'm sorry...
-
Pretty sure I have like 10k. Melee kills and like 5 k weapon
-
Awesome job. I love the mention of fusion rifles. That's all I use !!! Literally. Anyways something has changed in Crucible. There are more titans than ever as of late. I played a few Rumble matches and I was literally the only Hunter vs 5 titans!! Weird. Anyways shoulder charge isn't op..it's just as you say, you really have to practice and be precise. There will always be those guys that just go for random shoulder charges and get lucky. It can be easily countered if you know what your enemy is trying to do. Cheers and happy shoulder charging. -A fusion rifle stuck in a hunters body

Definitely was a bot doing that. You can't do it, you're a toaster, only thing you know is bread.
-
Inb4 kingapocalypse gets you banned again for this.
lol jk nice work man.
-
Toaster, back again to prove someone wrong I see. Well done!
-
Why would you post this unless you actually want it nerfed? I know you've been on here enough to know that it doesn't matter what else you post in the thread to explain things. It falls on dead ears.

Edited by theREALjakevan: 6/24/2016 12:15:57 PMGotta say I do love shoulder charge. Striker is my favorite pvp class of all three characters...for the instant super, and the shoulder charge (especially on inferno game modes lol.) But as a hunter main I am pretty sure I am obligated to tell you...
Shoulder charge is slightly OP and you -blam!-ing people up like this is gonna go viral and get it nerfed
And while i do have to admit the aim assist on throwing knives is a bit high...why couldn't they have just lowered the AA and left the damage alone...the throwing knife nerf is the ONLY reason that I feel shoulder charge is way better than any other melee option now.

"Shoulder Charge isn't op"
Mmk kiddos
-
It's definitely getting nerfed now. Lol.
-
There is definitely something wrong if ppl can rely solely on SC to get kills. You sir just proved that.
-
Nice job but bungie will see this and nerf shoulder charge even though it's not op
-
Pretty sure I played against you during at least one of these attempts (although I didn't see me gamer tag.) I started to get so mad, but eventually had to laugh when I was getting out played. Well done.
-
Toaster, nice to see you back on the forums. And nice video.
-
Pretty good with that shoulder, broham!
-
Edited by SlimeMuk: 6/24/2016 6:49:37 AMThat was -blam!-ing amazing! Take that bitchy HUNTARD'S!! Lmao Edit: coming from a warlock main!
-
Oh you silly toasters and your shoulder charge. If I had a nickel...
-
This...this is sad to see this actually happening. Pretty soon Titans will be the dominant class for PvP. Balance shall never come to the crucible
