Great article. Really enjoyed reading.
I liked the Exos use around the Vex project, but I am not sure that explains the absolute number of Exos created. I think they had a second use -- to fight a war maybe?

War was certainly the main factor for the mass production of exos. They're often referred to as war machines, the Deep Stone Crypt "dream" seems to be about preparing for war, and there are many mentions of them fighting in the Grimoire. I think they were originally created for using the Device, but got repurposed for combat later on.

Makes sense. Agree they we subsequently used en mass, over time and over space I'm a war, but I don't think we know who the enemy(s) were?
