I was able to obtain the fire exotic sword before the April update but ever since then, trying to get heavy ammo in crucible has gotten much more difficult since it only spawns once per match. After 10 games of trying to get sword kills for the bolt caster, i only come up with 2 sword kills .-. AFTER 10 GAMES of actually trying hard lol
Am i the only one who thinks these exotic swords are just not worth the effort anymore? Do you think itd be worth doing if the number of guardian kills required was decreased? SHOULD it be decreased? Opinions please! I think the number of kills needed should go down ;-;

yes learn how to use your block ability

Hilt Kills my Friend. Sucks, but if I can do it anybody can.

All 3 swords are important best exotics this game have to offer for Y2

Bolt Caster, in my opinion, is a PVP exotic. If you do not play a lot of PVP I would say it isn't worth it. Even so, I wouldn't waste my exotic slot on a heavy weapon in crucible now anymore anyway.

1 ReplyIf you picked dark drinker first time then yes, if not it's hardly worth it

2 RepliesEdited by H_TOWN_BALLA_80: 6/6/2016 7:57:30 PMYou can actually skip the crucible part if you do it right. I found this out by accident. If you have another sword that you have not yet triggered the quest on yet, MOVE that new sword to the character that you have ALREADY done the quest for it. Once you upgrade the new sword and the quest unlocks, it will pick up at the part where you have to just gather the material stuff and then do the Alak Hul strike. You totally avoid the PvP part. At least this was the case when I got my 3 exotic swords way back when TTK was new. Haven't heard if they changed that where you can skip it but it worked when I did it, give it a shot. They're all good and worth having IMO. I also like that your post got down voted and you didn't even say anything controversial which only means one thing: The PvP only players are mad that you are calling out yet another dumbass thing that PvP has ruined, this time via heavy weapon nerfs.

Once you do the quest for one sword, you can skip the PvP for the other two.

2 RepliesJust buy the other 2 swords on the same character u got your first exotic sword on and level them up to 280 and upgrade all the way shax will give u the quest to find the planet materials it skips the crucible part, im flabbergasted by how many people do not know that

5 RepliesJust use the hilt. Hilt kills still count.
