Today we have lost a long time community member. After battling an infection for about a week he awoke this morning with a heavy fever and shortness of breath. He was admitted this morning to the hospital. A short time later on he slipped away and they were unable to revive him.
Whether or not you hated him or loved him you at least knew where he stood on any topic you could find on these forums. Many of you will see that we have lost a long time community member. I myself have lost one of my closest friends. My thoughts go out to his wife and family.
I shall miss you my friend.
Please use this thread to pay your respects. Any disrespect will be removed from this thread.
To all my friends, present past and beyond
Especially those who weren't with us too long
Life is the most precious thing we can lose
While you were here the fun was never ending
Laugh a minute was only beginning
BerserkerBarage this one's for you
Ever get the feeling you can't go on
Just remember whose side it is that you're on
You've got friends with you till the end
If you're ever in a tough situation
We'll be there with no hesitation
Brotherhood's our rule we cannot bend
When you're feeling too close to the bottom
You know who it is you can count on
Someone will pick you up again
We can conquer anything together
All of us are bonded forever
If you die I die that's the way it is
To all my friends, present past and beyond
To all those who weren't with us too long
Life is the most precious thing you can lose
While you were here the fun was never ending
Laugh a minute was only the beginning
Berserker, my brother, this one's for you
This song fits perfectly the way I feel. Miss you man.

Heroes are remembered, but legends never really die. I like to think BB was a legend. ~Ash

I didn't know B.B. but I have personally lost a very close friend of mine a few months ago. I really enjoy the community here and I think it's important that events like this are recognized and that people can leave a legacy behind. I've just had a thought that we should urge Bungie to incorporate some sort of tribute or recognition to B.B. in the new Halo: Reach game. Since I didn't know him I would not want to spear-head the operation, but I think it's a wonderful idea and that someone closer to him would want to take up leadership in the operation.
-
My thoughts and prayers go out to B.B.'s family. Although I never met him personally, I was privileged to play some Big Team with him from time to time. Good game B.B. You'll be missed.

I've been on this site about as long as anyone. And honestly I can say no one has argued with me longer or harder than BB. I used to hate him but as time went on I learned to respect him as a intellectual. This especially saddens me because I was about to tell him all about this.
-
I never got to really know him, but a the death of someone is always a shame, especially a good person. My thoughts, as well as the many others on this site, go out to his family. It was always interesting to read his long posts. Damn shame.
-
He was only 27 and had just gotten married too, now that's a heart breaker. My prayers go out to his wife, family and friends.
-
God bless them.
-
Never noticed him that I can remember, but I feel bad for his family
-
Thoughts and prayers with his family.
-
:'( awe great man has passed.... *Cry Cry*
-
Never knew him personally, but it is always sad when a person dies. My thoughts go to his friends and family. RIP
-
This is almost surreal... BB, you will be missed.
-
I had the great opportunity to play with him on a few occasions, but his presence was strongly felt. Rest in Peace BB.
-
I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know him on as much of a personal level as some of you did, but even then, reading this thread has brought a tear to my eye. I wish his family the best in this sad hour.
-
Rip BerserkerBarage you will be missed and love by the halo community.
Posted by: BerserkerBarage To The Bungie Community: Thank you very much for all of the support and kind words. I would like to personally thank Wayne aka Achilles1108 for taking my call the night Logan passed and starting this thread. I know that he loved this community. Reading all of your posts and seeing the pictures was very moving. I agree, it was too soon. I have had the pleasure of playing with a good portion of you all and I got to meet some of you in person and it was a pleasure. I apologize if you see B.B.'s GT on XBox Live but I have to use his GT to access a lot of our Arcade games. Thank you all and keeping it in B.B's style, "Fix your game Bungie." Let this stand as B.B.'s last post, Much Love, ~Mrs. B.B. aka his permanent doubles partner aka Adverseposesion.
We will miss you, don't know him personally but I've seen some great posts. Prayers go out to Friends and Family. [Edited on 02.27.2010 4:06 AM PST]
