[spoiler]This installment of Exotic History is provided by Paradox1055[/spoiler] The three Guardians entered the Vault and proceeded down the cave like tunnel, which oddly seemed to shift slightly like it was phasing through time. The Hunter looked around and tried to study the odd anomalies but Blitz kept getting to far ahead and ignoring everything. "So what are we going to do here?" Blitz asked. "Not we, I." Said the Hunter as he examined a phasing ruin. "And I am going to go to the Templar's Well." "Why can't I go?" "Cause you are going the wrong way." Arteron stated. "No I'm Nooooaaaaahhhh!!!" Blitz walked right off of a cliff and Blaze appeared at the cliffside. "Geez... Who puts these cliffs here?!" Blaze stated as Arteron revived Blitz. "I'd say the Vex." "Those cheeky little b******s!!" Yelled Blitz. "I'm coming for you!" He ran off down the path and turned the corner. "I'll show them aaaaaaahhhhhlll!!" The message 'Guardian Down!' flashed on the Hunter's HUD as he chuckled. "Take your time with studying I'll entertain my nimrod of a partner." Arteron rounded the corner. The Hunter nodded and continued to look around. He watched as everything within the cave phased slowly in and out of time. As he looked he heard Blaze yelling at something to get them back up. He smiled and ran his fingers over a blank piece of stone. A two symbols appeared, one of a Ghost and one with a Gorgon. The Hunter nodded. "I'm on my way buddy..." He tapped the stone and walked down the path. Arteron had seated himself on some vines like a hammock and Blaze was spazzing out underneath him, yelling at him. "You hear me?! I will come up there and melt whatever part you hold dear!" Arteron coughed. "That's what she said." "How does that make any sense?!" "You are too young to understand." "I am not!! Now tell me what that means!!" Arteron looked at the Hunter. "Ready?" "Yea. I'll be heading to the Labyrinth." Arteron nodded and revived Blitz who plopped on the floor. Blaze appeared and got into Arteron's face. "TELL ME!!" Blitz rubbed his head and got up. "Where are we going again?" "Outside." The Hunter said. "You sure?" "Yea positive." "Alright come on!" He started to walk back the way he came before he paused. "Now wait a minute!" He spun back around to the Hunter. "No you are not! You were going to the La... the ah..." "Its like a maze..." Arteron said as he pushed Blaze out of his face." "The Maze! You were going to the Maze so I'm going too!" The Hunter sighed. "It almost worked." He turned and made his way further into the Vault with the other two in tow. After a short drop into the Templar's Well and deeper into the Vault that was surprisingly empty, they reached the large drop down into the Labyrinth below. The Hunter and Arteron looked downward at the abyss below. The Hunter sighed. "This never gets any easier." "How do you survive this?" Arteron asked as he looked further below. "LIKE THIS!!" Blitz came barreling towards them but Arteron side stepped and let him Shoulder Charge off of the cliff. "S***!!!" He flailed in the air for a few seconds before plummeting downwards. Arteron watched him drop like a stone. "USE YOUR JETPACK!" Blitz activated it at the last second and hovered above the earth before touching down. He danced around in victory and yelled up at the other two, but it was barely audible. Arteron hopped down and glided all the way down. "See ya there." He slowly descended in a screw like pattern as he read his magazine to pass the time. The Hunter looked down again and jumped. He let gravity do most of the work until he was close to the ground then he double jumped to a stop and touched the ground. He watched Arteron float perfectly to a sitting position on a rock above as he turned a page. "That was fun!!" Blitz said. "Let's do it again!!" "No.." The Hunter drew his rifle and looked around. "We should be paying attention." Everywhere around them was silence except for a musical series of beeps and tones like a hushed grand orchestra. Off in the distance layed the Gorgons and unlike before, they were active and searching for something or someone. Thank you all for tuning in!
