Maybe we go back in time to the twilight battle thing, where all fallen houses band together?

The enemy will be the Fallen. Somehow the House of Kings will gather forced and attack the city, putting the big hole in the wall we see in the picture. Going with the lore of the Iron Lords, I'm guessing the majority of the dlc will be us defending the city to become the new Iron Lords. I think the raid itself will be slightly defensive with us killing the Kell of the House of Kings. The first part of the raid would be us fighting off waves of fallen until we unlock a way into a ketch. From there we'll transport to different ships and eventually land in the Kell's catch where we chase him off, and follow him to Twilight Gap. Well take care of the Baron (s) and servitor in the strike leading up to it. The servitor would make a great mini boss though. This might even open up the North American or European dead zone as we hunted down some of the Fallen leaders for part of the story. Well get an increase in light level. Hopefully pushing 400. Well have a new type of heavy weapon. Either everyone will get axes (as shown in the picture) or every class will have a class exclusive heavy. (Really going out on a limb here and say hunters will get dual arc daggers and warlocks will get a void sceptre. That's actually wishful thinking and is based solely on nothing) I think the wolves in the pic are symbolic, they're plasterd all over IB gear, so I'm guessing with Saladin at the helm of things, a lot of our new gear will be Wolf related. I think pvp will get a new mode. Almost like. A permanent IB. Light levels enabled, decent gear, ect. All of this is pure speculation, wishful thinkng, and is just for kicks. I think it'd see awesome if the starting part of the raid took place in a public area. Like the beginning of Vault of Glass. While you're fighting off wave after wave, it'd be cool to have guardian reinforcements. Maybe even another raid team that starts theirs around the same time. They show up, you unlock a way into a ketch, and little white says something like "nows our chance to board the Ketch! The other guardians can handle the Fallen here for now". Edit 3: More than likely, they'll be an event type of enemy that spawns in on patrol (taken, swords of Crota, wolves). If this does revolve around the House of Kings, I'm guessing it'll be some type of waves like the house of wolves except the final wave will be the spider tank. If we use Vex tech like someone suggested in the comments, it'd be cool if the event would have Vex teleporting in to steal back their stuff so we can't use it.[/

My prediction is that since the taken are already in the prison they capture skolas and turn him and we have to fight a resurrected kell of kells. Basically yet more reskinned content from Bungie.

I have speculated a bit, and taken theories from others to form this theory. It's called rise of iron, but the iron wolves and lords are already very well respected and honoured. So perhaps with recent events the Iron wolves are taking a bigger interest in us guardians and plan to lead the assault in the fallen houses. The poster shows a hole in the wall, but based looks it doesn't seem to be apart of the wall we have seen. But the design is so similar it must be a different part. The snow is heavier than anything we seen so much father north? Or perhaps season change. The guardian in the picture could be Saladin but we have no proof, they are looking inward to the breach. The hole is new due to be fire, is it from the inside or outside? Why would this be a question? What happened to the last iron lords? They ripped each other apart, what stops the wolves doing the same? But it is more likely the fallen are feeling the gravity of the war we are in. They face gods of darkness and time. They have to strike hard and take the great machine before it is destroyed. We know of other houses, what's stopping them from joining the fray?

Can we raid on a Ketch? Would it be too small of an area for 6 guardians to go inside? Just wondering cause I'd like the end boss to be in the Ketch trying to capture the Great Machine.

I think this is really solid and makes a lot of sense for a fallen raid. Everything I have read says it will probably be fallen-themed. After reading those articles, I immediately thought about house of kings. It just makes sense. Skolas wishes he was Kell of Kells, get mopped in a few story missions and sent to prison. Then the true Kell of Kells rises after Skolas' defeat and gets a full DLC with a raid to defeat him. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see it play out in some way close to this.

Cool theory. We don't know if that image was fake or not. A lot of talented people out there can crate stuff that looks legit. I like the idea though, although I'm hoping for more lore on the Cabal. Would be cool if there was an encounter between the Cabal and the Fallen. Only briefly happened during HoW.

I feel like this could still tie in to us going to Europa because the house of kings have an outpost there, the snow could be a reference to Europa's winter like weather

It would be funny to see fallen skiffs sometimes interrupt a game of iron banner , and see a total of 12 guardians decimating them.
