People have been asking for this forever. The current state of the game is silly when some of the best gear available drops at half power.
Hopefully they will fix this.

Why would they fix something they did on purpose? They don't want us using year 1 weapons. They were designed too good.

If the weapons are too good then tone them down a bit while still making them playable. By your logic McDonald's should stop selling fries. Instead sell tater tots, but leave the pictures of the fries on the menu and offer people a taste, but serve them cold.
