Am I the only one who hates how leveling up works in Destiny? You hit Level 40, and then the only way to get to a higher level is by equipping Legendary gear with enough Light to boost you up. It's especially irritating when you unlock a new weapon or piece of armor that you want to use, and it brings down your light level when you equip it unless you have something to infuse it up to the same level as the rest of your weapons and armor?
Why can't we just level up by gaining XP, just like what we do when getting from Level 1 to 40. Earn experience, your level goes up, and your Attack and Defense values for all weapons and armor are brought up to match your current level. Ergo, if I'm level 320 and I level up to 321, all of my gear that was previously 320 Attack/Defense scales up to 321 Attack/Defense.
I'm thinking that for Year 3, they should allow us to level up through earning XP; our level would be determined by our highest-level gear for each character. So, if you're 335 when the 3.0 Update drops, you'd still be 335... and you'd be able to level up to 400 by grinding XP rather than having to buy new gear.
What do you think?

Then no one would play end game activities, there would be no point to doing the raid. The weapons are crap so no other incentive.
