From what I have watched so far, the gameplay really doesn't impress me. Seems kind of generic as far as the whole climbing and gunfighting goes. However, I will say that I wish that the Uncharted series (or at least 4) was made into a movie. The story actually does a great job at making me want to see more. (This is all from an Xbox player that has never seen anything Uncharted before).

No, I haven't. Haven't really played any Playstation games. This is just what I've seen from gameplay videos. As I stated, the gameplay doesn't interest me, but the story is pretty good.

Watching is very different from playing. You can't make an opinion on how the gameplay feels if you have never played it.
-
That's fair and I understand that. This is purely off of my observations and comparisons to other games. In no way do I mean to discredit this or any other game.
-
All I'm saying is that you shouldn't judge the gameplay if you haven't played it.
-
Watching it and playing it is very different.

As far as observations go, the gameplay doesn't seem very innovative. Although you are correct in that my thoughts would probably be different if I were to actually try playing it.

It was pretty innovative when it came out. Not the combat itself but the fluidity of the combat. But naughty is a big believer in "if it isn't broke then don't fix it". The only thing that changed through the games was the melee combat.
