You said that in your exception list that community emblems are an exception and the charity emblems are a part of the community section. Plus there is nothing wrong with exclusive emblems lets take Union of Light for example that emblem shows pure dedication to the community if you went out of your way to visit Bungie at PAX you are a hardcore fan. The charity emblems are also a massive part about being an active community member that contributes more than you need to. For emblems like wolf hunter and the pre oder emblem it just shows how long you have been a community member for. In my opinion exclusive emblems are a great idea as they show you who has gone above and beyond when it comes to how much they offer to the Bungie community especially our great mentors and ninjas!

The Charity emblems have nothing to do with the Community, Advertisements for emblems /=/ Community. "Emblems will be awarded at $50 or more"... Nothing to do with the Community. People being able to go to E3/Pax has nothing to do with devotion, that is actually pretty arrogant. It's to do with Financial situation and Location. Most gamers would obviously go to these events ... if they had the ability. I could understand if they done Community events for Charities... but they don't. It;s just them selling emblems. Pre-order emblems are pathetic, people shouldn't be coerced into pre-ordering stuff. They should be able to get it when they can, I have the pre-order stuff, and I think it's ridiculous, it always has been. Since ODST. In my Opinion Emblems are for creativity, personal expression, individuality, or just showing off what looks good. If there was Nameplates is Destiny, I would agree with you on some of your points.

Anyone with one of those charity emblems there money has gone to a fantastic cause and they raised those thousands of dollars as a community. For the PAX event yeah sure some people would like to go that can not afford it but the people that did go it does not matter if they are poor middle class or rich they are still dedicated members of the community. The charity emblems are a great thing last year the Bungie community raised thousands of dollars. As well as the Nepal disaster the community raised that money as a whole and should be exclusive for the same reason say the shields are exlusive to say hey i was part of this era of the community and it is something to resemble it. It is not like these emblems live in secret everyone has had the exact same chance to earn them.

I've already made my argument. Advertisements on the side of the Page.... are just adverts, nothing more. Again, if it was a community event... I would agree with you, but no, It was just them selling emblems for $50 to get people to donate. Charity is a good cause, maybe Bungie should put some of their RNG Microtransactions/Gambling profits towards them, that would raise millions. Not every Destiny Player uses goes on Bungie.net, and they shouldn't miss out on stuff because (proper community emblems like Moderator or Forum Events like Alpha Lupi are exempt because they're Bungie Community events/Positions) but things like Nepal/Gauntlet shouldn't just be Money grabs, it's so distasteful, they should actually organize community events to for fundraising of Charities, Ever heard of Summer Games done quickly? Their streams fundraise thousands for Charities, they don't just amorally sell in-game items for real money. The Era thing doesn't apply as Forum Ranks are not part of this Discussion, and paying for emblems is not a era thing.
