They're adding a new nightfall modifier called devastator that buffs super damage.

It shouldn't just be a modifier for NF though. I understand not making so strong it obliterates everything, but I shouldn't have to worry about getting killed by the enemy I use my super on

I agree. Instead of just making it a nf modifier, they need to buff supers throughout the game.
