I think it was in one of the updates prior to TTK. You cant get 8 orbs anymore unless you have an exotic piece. Even getting 7 orbs is hard. FoH, GG, N.Bomb have the hardest times now. Go see for yourself, got to moon, go kill both the Yellow Knights in the starting area and you'll get 6-7 orbs.
