Why does it seem that Bungie is only looking at trials when it comes to "balancing"

It seems like bungie is focusing on trials

It seems like bungie is focusing on general pvp

TLDR; Bungie should stop changing the game's conent and mechanics based primarily around Trials non-honor" based tactics. well as i agree that everyother person and their son should stop whinning about nerf and buffs, i can not say that any game is made perfect for a long duration of time, so therefore destiny will need nerfs and buffs depending on the current meta. My only problem is that bungie is only making nerfs and buffs that are primarilly for trials of osiris, which in my opinion is the most blaming gamemode which favors unskilled tactics, diversity, and exploits, not saying that all trials players are unskilled or rely on exploits, but most do. Bungie shouldnt be focusing on nerffs/buffs based around one game mode or they should at least admit that they are, because i for one have played this game since beta and i have watch and read about every update since launch, never had the posts asking for nerfs or buffs had the most results than since trials was released. Even after all these patches the one thing that has recieved no noticible change is trials. Not everyone cares about trials dont change the entire game because of it. Some things in my opinion that are not honorable/skillfull that i believe need addressing with reasons (Because i know some are going to ask) 1. res-sniping; reason: The fact that snipping has not bob when aiming down the sights all one has to due is figure out the size of the player module; which happens to be the same size for every playable character in the game, and get a snipper that can somehow penetrate the revive sheild that is supposed to PROTECT!! you. 2. Revive shield; Reason: basically it is because of the res-snipping, but the reasonning behind this is that we should ask ourselves this question, why would we have a shield if there are guns taht can shoot through them with one bullet? I mean like why even give a player a sheild when they revive their teammate if they are just going to die in one shot. In my opinion a simple fix would simply make players immune to head shot kills, this way that snipers are still usuable without making them useless. 3. The usability of year one weapons; Reason: similarly to the above point that if they werent brought forward to year 2 bungie obviously didnt want you using them in a light dependent match, there is a reason that thorn didnt get brought forwad people, anyone who played in year one know what not having skill to get a kill means with this weapon. a simple fix which may happen with time passively is simply 1) leave these weapons at their current light while also increasing the max light so that the change in light will make you weaker if you so do choose to use these weapons or 2) change their mechanics in some new fangled way that bungie would have to come up with please leave comments with enough supplementary and valid information to defend or assualt a viewpoint, we need to be civilized about these matters if we really do enjoy this game and dont want to see it go down the toilet. please understand that buff/nerff ideas need to be viewed from multiple differend perspectives, so please do take all this into concideration when maing a point.

  • Bungie should make changes strictly for PvP or PvE. Nuff said.

They just should focus way more on pve then on pvp imo. Patrolmissions need a real update, aswell as public events. April update was a good step in the right direction, now they need to keep it up.

  • I agree with you to some extent but your post is a bit all over the place and even with your attempt to structure it by topic, there is just too much going on. The year 1 weapon fiasco had as much to do with PvE as PvP. Something needed to be reworked moving forward into TTK. It just seemed over focused on nerfs, weapon obsoletion, and a general lack of creativity that sucked joy out of the game and invalidated hundreds to thousands of hours that people spent acquiring that gear. After decimating most of our gear, we were offered subpar items in comparison and continuous nerfs to weapon perks, effectiveness and diversity in the name of PvP balance. PvP has yet to be balanced and PvE gets pointlessly caught in the stupid metas instead of having unique and desirable gear like we had in year 1. Iron banner should be an event for all the crazy variation that the game has to offer. It doesn't need to be balanced to the precision that Bungie is attempting. Just assign gear values and reward players for overcoming a challenging opponent. Trials and any skill focused PvP can just use generic weapon arch types. It's easier to balance, allows competition to focus on skill, creates opportunities for weapon contentions on the map, and detaches the conflict between PvE and PvP. Res sniping seems fair on a strategic level. Easy solution is to randomize the exact spawn point for the person being brought up. Personally, I think it's the persons fault that went down in the first place. Why should they be entitled to an easy and safe revive with a sniper aiming down at them? But I don't play skirmish or trials so it should be that communities decision.
