Posted by: UltimatumX In one of those screenshots. Master Chief is holding a Plasma sword. Evidence of using Plasma sabers for Halo 2?
In one of the screenshots, the game is a third person RTS. Evidence of that being in Halo 2? No.
Posted by: Jade 8704 speaking of shiny visors and such....what ever happended to the master chief's reflection mapped visor? im not complaining at all, im happy with the way the chief looks right now...i was just wondering what ever happened from the old H2 trailer w/ the MC jumping out of the ship, to the e3 2003 trailer....you still think they will use reflection mapping for the MC's visor in the final game?
They thought it would look cool (it did, didn't it?) to have that reflection on the MC's visor when he was looking at Earth from space, so they artificially added it in post production. It would take far too much processing power to have that in actual gameplay. It will not be in Halo 2.
Posted by: spnkr44 what about the Marathon Trilogy?!?!?!! sooo much of the story of Halo is based on that
Go here: http://halosm.bungie.org/story/halothon.html. Peruse the list of allusions to Marathon in Halo. It is mostly a collection of loose tongue-in-cheek references. To this day many people try to find deep connections, but they are seperate stories written by the same team: that is just about the extent of the similarities. Halo is hardly "based on" the Marathon trilogy.

1 ReplyHoly crap I just read the articale about that and I almost cried Halo with flamethrowers Mc with a plasma sword and fuel rod gun. The only problem with halo 1 is the dull assortment of vehicals and weapon's if they could put back in the old stuff it would kick so much ass that it wouldn't even be funny.

1 ReplyStarted as a PC game then Microsoft wanted it so they made a deal with Bungie to make it xbone exclusive. Bungie left Microsoft after Halo 2 but continued making games for there Xbone 360 console, then in 2011 Bungie sold halo because they knew it was dead, then a company called 343I was dumb enough to buy it and now makes low quality shit games for the same price as high quality Bungie games.
