I can say with almost absolute certainty the new crucible meta will be Suros Regime.
For people who were not around at the beginning of Y1 or don't remember when Suros reigned, autos before the December update used to do 38 crits and it took 6 shots to kill a full health guardian.
From looking at weapon tuning video, the changes to Suros bumps up its crits to 35 (when using Focus Fire). That's still 6 shots to kill a full health guardian.
Dust 'em off, people. Get ready to hear that familiar sound again in every match you play.

That was a lot of shotgun kills. Also, looked like everyone was using auto rifles. Such variety we had in Y1, or, "Why I don't miss the Suros era."

2 RepliesYou will know the devil in the update

Range operates differently now. They'll be competitive but not the meta.

7 RepliesI still have a shadow price from year one....I can't wait to use it again. Saying that isn't it only focused fire getting a buff so is it not just the suros getting a buff
-
Suros' damage is only going up by one and spin up is being nerfed... I really cant grasp what you're tying to get ar
-
Suros ARI 45 Rifled Barrel, GHF
-
2 RepliesI knew I've been saving my gunsmith Suros high impact AR with 95% stability, good range, and glass half full for something!
-
8 RepliesSuros Regime has nothing on Hard Light. Hard Light doesn't have a damage falloff and hits fast and harder.
-
The upcoming update reminded me how much I used to love the Regime. So I unvaulted mine for nostalgia and even pre-retune I'm in love with it again. If I get the first shot in and my range isn't too extreme I'm finding that using focus fire I more often than not drop users with Midas. I suspect you're right that after the next tune up the Regime will be the new meta.

ill stick with my spare change pulse rifle thanks

I got a max stability vanguard auto (don't remember the name but it's not great), used it a bit in the crucible and did pretty well, excited to see it after 12/4

Who else thinks patch 2.0 nerfed suros more than it got buffed? Think about it. You traded all that range and stability just for a increase of 2 damage, that isn't even enough to make a difference in ttk. In patch 1.1.1 it was still always a 7 shot, and it still is now. But it has much less range and stability. Even after this damage buff, suros is still going to be a 7 shot the majority of the time, but still lacks accuracy.
