Soooo im upgrading to ps4
So im upgrading to ps4, i bought the taken king on my ps3, i thought well ill get my ps4 then ill buy the disc of destiny (not destiny ttk) since its cheaper and ill be able to download ttk on my ps4 since i bought it already
My friend keeps telling me i have to buy the disc that says Destiny the Taken King
But idk why since ive already bought the taken king
Do i have to buy it again
SOMEONE HELP PLIIS [spoiler]im only in highschool it took me very long to save up money for my ps4 so im not tryna waste 20 more dollars on ttk[/spoiler]

Don't bother, migrate to pc instead, you wont get the leap forward you had between ps2 and ps3.

Last gen and next gen games are not compatible with one another, and purchasing a game on one platform does not provide it on another unless a special offer exists. Destiny does have a special offer that allows Expansions I and II to upgrade from last gen to next gen at no cost. The Taken King, however, is not part of this offer. Purchases of TTK are limited to the platform on which they were made. The PS3 TTK will not automatically upgrade to Ps4. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12122

You're changing to a new system so yeah, you will need to buy the base game and TTK. House of Wolves and The Dark Below will be free though.

TTK is not eligible for digital upgrade, so if you want to play it on ps4, you'll need to buy it again.
