I wouldn't mind this on armor, but I really hated the reforge option in Poe.

Why customizing weapons wasn't the sht?

It was a really cool idea at first, but it threw off the grind. Think about how boring this game would be if you already had all the guns you wanted, even with variant rolls, within the first three weeks. The feeling you get when you get a really good roll on a gun doesn't exist anymore, and your new goal is to grind for material components so that you can re-roll a million times.

Sometimes you just get screwed though. Sometimes what players work for isn't rewarded. So many guns go left untouched...... Reforge gave us so much variety and added to the weapons pool. It took me 100's of hours to get a devouring maw. Can't reforge or customize it..... Same with the grasp of Malok. Took me literally hours to even get it. Dropped with the worse roll. :(

It would just mean grinding to get whatever gun. then grinding the rolls till you get something you like. I wouldn't mind a good hitchhiker. No getting that to drop normally...

I just got a really good hitchhiker (accelerated coils, aim assist, army of one) and I can tell you with 100% certainty that the thesan fr4 from the gunsmith is much better. That fusion rifle is the first one I've gotten in a really long time that I actually feel confident I can win gunfights consistently with. My perks on that are decent, but it's mainly because the impact is high with good stability too. I can one burst people from a pretty long distance.

I have a pantei rei that eats anything I have rolled. The rng gods blessed me with range finder and hip fire. Stability is 90% also! I love it....... I just bought the thesion and will wait for a roll on that also.

Accelerated coils lowers damage. I was wanting one with hot swap/ braced frame/ Icarus. combo. My best one is my split shifter pro. but i recently got a good, long far gone i'm testing the waters with.

Ooh! I've never even thought of using Icarus. That would obliterate with a warlock/titan
