Dark Souls
Just got the game and i've been pretty much fine so far. Playing a strength build and switching between a gravelord sword and a +5 fire zweihander, usually using light or medium armor. I recently made it to Smough and Ornstein. Oh boy.
Ive been getting rolled every single time i go in, and the one time i killed ornstein, i got killed by contact damage from smough's lightning hammer.
Im just wondering if any of you could either help me with strategies, or come in with a summon. (X360)

If smough is the last one standing you can use the pillars to block some attacks and open up attack opportunities. If ornstein is the boss you keep alive he has a spot right at his crotch that you can stand in to attack and he can't hit you. Be aware he can move away and then hit you. If you have ranged attacks you can stay away from him and cheese from afar as his lightning attack is fairly easy to dodge.

1 ReplyUSE THE PILLARS! I cant stress that enough. Smough does have a sort of bullshit hitbox on that hammer, so you may still be hit from time to time. I suggest killing smough first. Also, if you need a summon, solare has a summon sign on the stairs across from where you enter the room. You will find that just having someone to distract one is enough to make the fight a cake walk. One more tip I can give is DONT GET GREEDY! Just do a single light attack at a time, and make sure there is a large enough opening. Dark souls isn't meant to be played fast, only smart, so it's ok if a fight takes forever. The last thing I can say is Ornstien ( and maybe Smough, Im unsure) has low fire resistence. So your fire weapon will certainly help here. This is my second favorite fight in the entire game, I love it. Don't give up, Skeleton! \[T]/

Change the zweihander to a chaos one, wear the Giant set along with the father mask and you got a OP build there. The legend never dies.
