It'd be worthless in PvP and poor for immediate crowd control in PvE due to the low projectile speed. When you use a heavy, you generally want quick results, especially in Crucible when OTHER people are going to be targeting you with their LMG's/RL's at the same time.
With heavies, you want to kill things, not mildly annoy things so they back off. We have enough tools to do that already.
For bosses, it depends. If I'm worried about DPS, I'd still prefer Black Spindle + Quillim's or Sleeper Simulant + 1KYS.
Like, the only real argument this weapon is going to have is damage, but Bungie has proven that they're against RL's that hard counter bosses like the Gjallarhorn.
It seems like a fun weapon on paper, but it's also on the long list of guns that I wouldn't use in serious endgame encounters.

Who cares though, I'll take any new type of weapon with special traits like that, just to add diversity to gunplay. Borderlands 2 had some unique guns that aren't really useful or powerful, but it still made them fun to play with bc they were different.

Why can't something be different AND highly effective in endgame encounters? That's what we need more of.

I agree totally, I just don't think every weapon needs to be extremely powerful to be fun to use. So far, y2 dragons breath seems to be the only gun I can think of atm that isn't that powerful, but can still be fun to use, just bc its different than most.

I agree with you, Swift, about the Rocket, one blast style. It's a one shot immediate problem solver. What I propose with the idea is to create a different play style, shooting Golgoroth's black balls from a gun. Wouldn't this create some different approaches and strategies? ;)
