Should i get the division?I opened the beta, started creating a character then just fell asleep and never bothered playing and i didn't keep up with the hype train as i was busy doing other stuff but for those of you who have played it, is it worth the $60?

  • I'm not going to say Division is awesome... Yet to do the darkzone, outside of the last beta, so I can only comment on PvE. It's fun, challenging, and usually interesting. If you min/max, I'm sure the game isn't that difficult though. Did 1 mission on Hard, very difficult to solo (all minions become boss level mobs), and not a whole lot easier once I had someone helping. Customized guns and armor, dozens of skills swapped out in moments. Outfits that are strictly for appearance, worn as clothing, in addition to armor. No, it's not space magic, super jumps and giant raid bosses in space, it's dirty, gritty, and realistic. I played Division for 3 days, and came back to Destiny for some PvP and to warm up for Trials. I literally couldn't play. Controls were wonky, guns sucked, and couldn't aim. I literally thought they had nerfed warlocks while I was gone. I had to give the controller to my son just to test it. He went 23-3, so it was just me.

Play with friends. Otherwise it gets sort of boring. On a personal level, I enjoy how they implemented the story through all the pickups and little movies. Once that's all done though, not sure where I will find lasting enjoyment in it. Also, despite how limited the character creator is, we managed to get very close to actual personal appearance. I get a kick out of that and it adds to the immersion.

  • Rent it first, if you like it, then get it. I personally didn't like the BETA, so I decided not to get it. But rent it first, just to make sure you like it. If you do, then spent your money on it. If you don't, then atleast you didn't waste $60 on a game you didn't like.

      • Try it. If you don't like it, don't play it. If you do like it, then binge it for the next 3 days.

        • It's a good game I like it quite a bit. I would recommend it if you're looking for a modern day survival experience third person shooter. but I wouldn't play it like i play Destiny. The division gets boring

        • Don't go into it with the thought of comparing it too destiny. It has a lot in common with destiny but plays very differently. It's like a mix of Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls Online. I bought the gold edition and so far I've really enjoyed it. There's quite a bit of customization.l and there's plenty to do to get loot. Sure the missions and encounters are repetitive but the loot makes it feel like it's worth my time. Overall, as a stand alone game, I feel that's is worth the $60.

I like it so far, it's not another destiny like people say, but it is a very good game and there will be lots of content added later
