Fusion rifle nerf
We've all seen lots of jokes about nerfing fusions
"He blocked my nova bomb with a sword and survived, bungie needs to nerf fusion rifles"
"People using icebreaker to get ammo in 3v3 modes are ridiculous, why hasn't bungie done anything and nerf fusions already"
Etc. The jokes were funny for awhile, and when done well can still be funny, but what does the community really think?

1 ReplyBungie claims to have internal data suggesting that if they were to even slightly buff fusion rifles that they would be way unbalanced. They also claim to have someone internally who is a "wizard" with fusion rifles. They essentially said they are waiting on the community to start using them correctly before they touch them. I'll hunt down the link if you'd like. A max stability fusion rifle will melt someone if you aim at their crotch or feet ( depending on position ). Also, the Keen Scout ability is extremely helpful to help you precharge your weapon and pop around the corner when ready.

12 RepliesAfter testing the gunsmith fusion in pvp I decided to use the thesan fusion rifle in 2 matches and concluded that they're perfectly fine the way they are right now. That thing has a sick impact and I've gotten a triple kill at a range twice as long as where you could kill with a high impact shotgun.

I just received two Split Shifters from Crucible last night. SureShot, Battle Runner, Braced Frame, Kneepads/Hot Swap Those are the only reason I've ever effectively used a fusion rifle. I could see a small buff being reasonable.

My personal fix is too return it's accuracy to vanilla state and give it a moderate stability buff, but apply heavy damage fall off after a point.

1 ReplyI do wish they would buff it somewhat. I've been told by my friends that since the nerf they should just be dropped and forgotten. I can only use a fusion rifle these days since my talent for sniping is null and shotguns isn't as rewarding as I thought it was. I've still got my Thesan with hot swap and rangefinder and this little baby has been my go to gun. I hope they buff fusions but not too much like the demons they were in year 1. Dear lord I can't look at the Mythoclast the same after year 1.

9 Repliesreverse patch 2.1 and 2.0 both was nerfs you can see this on the vex mythoclast the scope drift control was the best for this but after patch 2.1 it is the same scope as the first one really!

They just need to get rid of the changes they made in 2.1 Revert them And all will be fine

But the fact is that the TTK era has many really good fusions. But I think they could be bought a little further back to what they used to be. But if you find a good one with high stability - a fusion is the tits. Not just Plan_C or Telesto either - the Ashraven, Darkblade's Spite, split shifter - all good.
