I normally play Gunslinger on my hunter but I just tried Bladedancer with [b]quickdraw, high impact sniper[/b], AR (for quest), and HOLY SHIT it's the most OP thing ever. I predicted quickdraw is why Bladedancers have such a high K/D, turns out I was right. People literally couldn't stop me without team shooting me down. I just wanted you to know that, Bungie. Only 5 engagement results: 1) I get the snipe, because I'm decent and [b]snipers are OP.[/b] 2) I get an assist from incredible damage because[b] snipers are OP.[/b] 3) I get 2x bodyshots for incredible damage in just 0.8s because [b]snipers are OP.[/b] 4) I get a bodyshot, then quickdraw and finish with 1 primary bullet because [b]Quickdraw perk+high impact sniper is incredibly O.P[/b] 5) I'm shot down by another enemy I didn't notice. He probably killed me with a high impact sniper bodyshot [b]because snipers are OP.[/b] 2.5 K/D from my last match, with agonizing back pain (don't ask)! I'm really pissed because Striker STILL can't hold a candle to Bladedancer. I can't decide if I should follow my heart and be a Striker or follow the meta and be a Bladedancer. I think it would be really nice if you balanced your game. At least do something about the Quickdraw perk on the Bladedancer tree. Move it or nerf it or something. [b]EDIT:[/b] Oh yeah you're totally right people. I didn't ask for a Sniper nerf. I'm just pointing out why they're OP. I forgot to mention the only way to balance the game is to DESTROY sniper bodyshot damage, OR [b]buff [/b]primaries to compete. And not just 1 MIDA gun. (For example, I once used this option against a campy trials team and counter sniped from the side to WRECK them. I was in full tryhard mode after they cross mapped me with a sticky. I made them regret it. BTW blowing dust off your aim stick may fix problems...) That's how you avoid a sniper. In game design, that's called a "dilemma," when all your options are shitty. You have to choose the option that -blam!-s you the least. [b]Having weapons that force dilemma's onto your opponent only proves how OP they are.[/b][/quote]

  • simple get rid of aided acquisition should be all manual stupid game shouldnt even have it. Been that many times where ive nearly killed someone and stupid game auto acquires the full health guy behind him.

  • if any nerfs ever hit snipers they should only be little more flinch ( not too much ) and the high impact snipers should have more noticeable kick (if you have a high damage sniper it will kick a lot more than a smaller caliber)

    It isn't quickdraw , its the aim assist coupled with the sniper's natural ads in destiny. If your hip crosshairs( invisible while holding a sniper) is pointed at your enemy, which is easy enough to do, you will be guided to your enemy when you scope in. Leaving the only action left for you to perform is a nudge in their head's direction. Sure being able to ready up faster after a swap makes u more efficient but that goes for any weapon u have with quickdraw. Snipers arent op and its not quickdraw, bungie has just always made sniping way too easy, I guess to make them more usable for the casual gamers but they forget that it becomes easier for the seasoned gamer too. This is why half the people complain while the other half don't.

            Dont switch to bladedancer. Having quickdraw might sound fun but the super is ass. You pop a slaying super and then run to a group expecting to get a multi kill but then you get shotgunned by one and before your health can regen the second one finishes you off. Stormcaller is better in every way right now

              • There is always the factor where you possibly played against players who aren't at your level of PvP although it's destiny so most deaths comes from bs kills.

                  • Sniping takes barely any skill. Whether it spraying body shots, body shot then primary, or leveling the scope on corners. It's too easy. People cling on to their easy sniping to believe they might actually have some sort of skill. It's easy though. Shotgunning was and is harder.

                      • Enough with the nerfs, basically anything viable in pvp isn't op. What isn't viable needs to be buffed. In my opinion, this is the most balanced meta yet. Also, snipers haven't been touched since launch besides the ttk nerf. Snipers are fine.

Our supers are worse than sunbreakers right now because of hit detection. Our Quickdraw perk and blink is all we really have. We actually need a buff along with the titans. So don't ever say that a bladedancer is OP kind sir <3

                          • I can only somewhat agree but I have noticed I do better on a Bladedancer than on the other subclasses of the Hunter. Partly due to QuickDraw and partly due to Blink. The super is not the best but normally still nets you 2-3 kills in a 6v6. I do think you need some skill to use all of it effectively and you seem to have some skill.

                          • Blade dancers have a close range super - the perks are to enhance gunplay and their ability at range which is fair IMO.
