[Bungie, you should take a look in here there are some good ideas being thrown around] Raid matchmaking and the stupid excuses for not wanting it.

Seriously, I am a lone player and have dropped Destiny without even getting to play the endgame content because of lack of matchmaking. I joined a clan, schedules were crap with mine, I looked at LFG, and people are snobbing noobs and year one content is not an option for most. To all those who oppose raid matchmaking, shut up and stop whining, if you dont want to get matched with randos, dont click on the Raid mission if your not with your precious fireteam and let us people with a life have matchmaking options for quick access to the content we will otherwise never see. And at @Bungie, shit or get off the pot, your game is dying if you keep making it hard for people to enjoy it. There I said it, so sue me

  • So I have been playing The Division beta this past few days and experimented a bit to see if teamwork with randoms and no mic or ability to communicate other than game mechanics worked out. It did, and was hell of a thrill. I was in the dark zone and popped up to an extraction point solo, with no gear to extract (so i become everyone's target for suspicion) and dont talk ever! There is a group there already, organized and communicating. As soon as I enter they start suspecting i will go rogue and have their guns trained on me for safety. Then the interesting part starts. First a group of NPC get to us and we attack them, i help them out so their suspicion drops a bit. They keep asking me if i have a mic and i try to emote my way into saying no. That makes them a bit more suspicious but they dont just off and kill me. Then when the NPCs are dead we wait a bit more, me still being under heavy guard. Then a random rogue (who wasn't rogue upon arrival) baits one of the guys into killing him and thus turning my "matchmade" team into a partly rogue team. At that point panic ensues! They all circle me thinking i will down the recently rogued guy, or that the other dude was with me in this plot...what do i do the... I shoot the guy with my healing skill and do a surrender emote. We then rolled together for about 30 min and had tons of fun and success, with a guy in the team that just appeared without anyone asking (matchmaking much) and "no" mic. Granted this wont always be a success story but if people know its possible and expect it to happen why don't we give it a shot. Not everything needs to be an instant success or lead to the best rewards in the fastest way. Sometimes random shit happening makes for the best experiences! So tell me, is optional matchmaking such a bad thing, no. And on the other subject, the dark zone in The Division really captures what a cooperative persistent open world multiplayer experience should be. Take note Bungie and a lot of us would appreciate that this is heard and used to make some changes. Thank you
