Most Useless College Degrees/Courses?
What college degree(s)/course(s) do you think is the most useless and unnecessary of them all? The weirdest one I've heard of is, "Surf Science and Technology".

7 RepliesWhen people say that Arts degrees are useless, they are pretty much saying every single degree that isn't STEM is useless. Which, coming from a former STEM major (degree in Bio with Human Emphasis), I call bullshit on anyone who says an Arts degree is useless, or that they're a conceited engineer major (this btw, is a big joke in the STEM field, so don't take this generalization of engineers seriously). Arts doesn't just simply end with "ooh look paintbrushes and stuff", but encompasses stuff like Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Sociology, Graphic Design, etc. There's a reason for why the official title of a BA or MA is Bachelors of ARTS, or Master of ARTS.

Math for majors that have NOTHING to do with math (other than basic math). For instance, I am a business major, what the -blam!- do I need to take a string of calculus courses for?
