The Angelship: Second Checkpoint
This post is the second checkpoint to this post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/169148325/0/0
The next room is a simple corridor with Fallen surrounding you. They're normal enemies, but the amount of them will overwhelm you if you aren't prepared. After that, you reach the Docks, where you have to enter a Skiff to progress. After fighting the Fallen inside, you pilot* the Skiff. After entering the Angelship, you see dozens of Fallen waiting for you. After leaving the Skiff, they bow to you. A hatch in the middle of the room then opens up and Iksun rises from it. He roars ferociously. The Fallen who were bowing then stand up and start to attack you. Iksun joins as well, dual-wielding Shock Rifles. He leaves after his health is depleted for that encounter. After killing the remaining Fallen, you track down Iksun through the door he left from. After walking through another corridor, you enter a hexagonal room. You see Linuk Prime, and a large group of Fallen bowing to it. Iksun can be seen in a room located at the back, above Linuk Prime. It has an Overshield powered by four pylons, giving it immunity. Throughout the fight, it will remain in place and continuously spew out Servitor artillery that is much stronger than that of Sepiks or Kaliks Prime, at a faster rate, as well as having that close-range attack. If a player is killed by the close-range attack, the Prime will heal itself by 1/6 of its total health, or back to full if it hasn't yet taken that much damage. The players need to take a Disabled Prime Core that spawns in the room, and place it inside a pylon. The paths between pylons takes you past an opening within range of the Prime's close-range attack, but the opening is shielded both ways by a force field. Each pylon is guarded by a Pylon Guard Servitor with its own Immunity Overshield, a host of other adds, and an opening for the Prime to terrorize the team from afar. The Core is very heavy and slows down the player carrying it by a considerable amount, but it also grants them insane health regeneration. The Core can fire a Servitor projectile that drains the player's Super bar, or fire a super-attack with a full Super bar that compares to a Servitor artillery blast with a massive AoE on impact to help with adds. This Super attack in the only thing that can drop the Overshield surrounding the Pylon Guard Servitor, who is then subsequently melted by the rest of the team. Placing the core inside a pylon will cause the pylon to give its part of the immunity Shield to the Disabled Core instead. This causes the other pylons to briefly malfunction, dropping Linuk Prime's Overshield and granting an opportunity to DPS it until the pylons readjust and power the shield and force field again. The team then takes the Core from the pylon they used and repeat the process, however the Core carrier now has a buff that grants them the Immunity Shield instead of the regeneration for 30 seconds (although you can still flinch when you are hit) which extends outward in a 3 meter radius and becomes permanent when the player's Super bar is full. Non-Core carriers inside the Shield will receive the regeneration buff inside the Shield and the Immunity Shield for 15 seconds if their Super is full, even if they leave the Core shield. Linuk Prime will no longer stagger after the first DPS phase. Each subsequent pylon receives additional reinforcements as the pylons get transferred from the Prime to the Core. Once all four pylons have been transferred from Linuk Prime to the Core, the 3 meter Immunity Shield becomes permanently bound to the Core, regardless of whether or not it is being carried. Carrying the Core with a full Super grants a buff that increases the damage done by the players to the Prime while they are in the shield. Linuk Prime also becomes Enraged once all four pylons are transferred. When Enraged, Linuk Prime will leave its post and actively pursue Players to hit them with its close-range attack, and its Servitor artillery fires much more frequently and travels much faster. The close-range attack will overpower the Immunity Shield of any Player that isn't the Core Carrier. In addition, any Pylon Guard Servitors remaining no longer stagger under DPS. In Hard Mode, neither Linuk Prime nor the Guard Servitors can be staggered under any circumstances. The Force Field covering the opening that's within range of the close-range attack is now entirely disabled. The Prime now becomes Enraged after 6 minutes as well. once all four pylons are transferred, regardless of the timer. The 6 minute timer now spawns a massive amount of adds as well as enraging the Prime. After the Prime has been destroyed, Iksun will teleport out of the room. After this, you will get your loot. *By pilot, I mean you activate it and a cutscene shows the Skiff taking off to the Angelship.
