I'm sure that's exactly why CoD removed SBMM in less than 24 hours.
Oh wait...

Edited by BoogerLover: 2/16/2016 11:43:06 AMCoD removed it because they were catering to the preservation of a competitive community; this was their goal all along... Bungie has made several statements to the fact that they aren't interested in making a competitive CoD or Halo experience.... Maybe that'll come later, but, they've stated that isn't their intentions/priority at the moment. In that Pod Cast I referenced above, if you listen to it you'll hear Leif Johansen (Destiny Lead PVP Designer) reference to several of these type of conversations that he had with TripleWreck and provide the feedback I'm paraphrasing to you here.

Edited by Killlerschaf: 2/15/2016 11:01:19 PMIn how far is that related to my post? CoD has a bigger playerbase, so according to your logic, more people should be satisfied with SBMM, as it makes games more enjoyable (according to you). Nonetheless the community was outraged and it got removed in less than 24 hours (death threats towards the CEO might or might not have influenced that decision) Why? Because SBMM doesn't make matches better. The guy in the interview simply didn't want to admit that they effed up. The same scenario already happened when ARs got buffed by 0.04%. It was an insult for everyone with an ounce of their brain left. Nonetheless Bungie refused to admit that something went wrong, simply because of their pride. The same is happening with SBMM right now. They simply can't admit that they effed up. Bungie even went so far to lie to the community about SBMM. Remember the Tweet in which they said that they haven't changed anything and that SLR is to blame? But you know what? This player who was once ranked 1500th in Rift in terms of Elo and ranked top 1% in terms of score per game average in Control, left Destiny behind quote a while ago and switched to Halo 5. A game with a ladder system (thus a strict SBMM), dedicated servers, a balanced, stable meta and a dev who doesn't lie to the community.
