Last night I learned that in Trials, if people wave on the heavy round, they want to call it off. Me being a friendly guardian always wave back, unknowing the agreement i just made. Sorry for picking up the heavy after I waved guys,

Friend lagged out at start so we were 3v2. We're down 3-1 and waved off heavy. They actually did too and we won the round. Ended up loosing 5-4 sadly but it was nice that they waved heavy too given they already had the advantage.
-
Its ok i often wait just in case spread the word tho it would be nice to not have to run back for it
-
Happened to me a few days ago in trials. The other team waved off the heavy and my team did too, they picked up heavy and waved again and so did we. They used heavy on one of my team mates and I proceeded to shove a truth rocket down each of the enemy team's throats. I danced and waved on their ghosts.

With all the advice given, i have come to the conclusion that all is fair in love and war,, Take care guardians!
-
Never wave against randoms lol, if you know the team go ahead
-
Haha, I've never actually seen this happen. That being said, why should I play a game dictated by a set of rules made by a team I'm trying to beat. I will use whatever I want to.
-
Lmao keep that shit in scrims. Seriously though waving off heavy should not be a thing in an unorganised match against randoms.

Edited by Wren: 2/15/2016 3:06:24 AMPeople who do this while fully knowing what it means are horrible. Breaking an agreement doesn't demonstrate "no place for mercy", it demonstrates "I have no gun skill and cheat other people". Edit: this is an interested sub thread. Keep it going! I love all of you PVEe'rs salt.

i wave too because it buys me an extra couple of seconds to rush them with rockets
-
Lol I wave to say hi. Not my fault if someone misreads that as something else.
-
Sounds like a good opportunity to cheese some people.
-
-
Fell for it too many times. Just pick it up. They dont want to they dont have to.
-
This is as dumb as the rule that you're not supposed to punch someone in the face when they're wearing glasses.
-
The aggressive nature of my play style in a heavy round would not offer time to even contemplate such an agreement. Once an opponent waves I would be tossing a nova bomb in mid air. Don't like using heavy just kill the other team before they can use it, problem solved. No need to wave.

Heavy round, also known as: who can fire their truth/QT faster
-
How about the wave it off gets changed? Wave off using ice breaker, invective and sidearms to get special ammo instead.
-
Unless you've done Sweaties, there's really no way to know what that signal means.
-
That's a thing? I thought it was a ritual for obtaining heavy ammo. Another thing is when you see the enemy t-bagging the heavy crate. That's when it gets weird.
-
There's no fking agreement. Its a video game. Fine if you want to wave off heavy, but anyone who acts like this is some etched in stone commandment that all must respect is a flaming moron.
-
I wave, wait a sec and then pick it up anyways, I've only managed to trick one team but it was worth it. I need heavy in trials, it's just about the only way I can get a kill...lol
-
Don't be sorry for playing the game. Why would you not get heavy ammo? It lasts one round & for me means that the other team probably won't be relying on their sniper rifles as much. Which, in turn, actually makes the round enjoyable to me.
-
Don't ever trust that crap. It will bite you. I always wave and pick up heavy and proceed on. You cannot trust anyone you are playing against.
-
It's one round of heavy I don't get why people make a big deal about it in trials
-
Lol at these gooch sniffers complaining about breaking a gentlemen's agreement, if you want to play a game with no heavy ammo blame Bungie for not having custom and/or private matches, it's not up to the community to abide by a made up rule. If you wave off heavy I hope you get punched in the dick by the opposition. Smh

Edited by kingpin666: 2/14/2016 1:08:20 PMThis contradicts the rule I made, waving to say "hey guys, let's all pick up heavy"
