I am also having this issue with a friend. We select CD and its forever 2/4 players. We tested by going to the tower and its loading an empty instance of it. No players. Tried loading to the tower individually and both of us, separately, loaded into our own tower where no player was in. First time it happened, I closed the application and it sorted itself out. It is happening again now. Nothing happened after restarting the application. after some 10 minutes it sorted itself out. Console: ps4

Try clearing your cache and see if that helps.
