year 2 players pretend to be year 1 players?
Every raid I check grimoires, I never say anything but I can definitely tell a year one player from a year two one. Either way I always like to say something about the old raids like "remember the good old days when you needed heavy ammo and you'd pull out the ice breaker and empty your ammo"
And I'm always answered with a reluctant "oh yeah good times" or something along those lines xD it makes me laugh.
Anyways have you guys found a lot of year 2 players lying about things?
What's some funny things year 2 players have said to you?
Edit: there's a couple people getting salty, I didn't mean it as an insult I just think it's funny that people lie about being year 1 is all. If you're good you're good that's all there is to it.

22 RepliesWhat does checking grimore have to do with anything? I'm a week one player with less than 4K grim. I work on the road and most hotels have shit wifi so I don't get to play sometimes for weeks. You just sound like another idiot who's forgotten this is only a video game that should be enjoyed it doesn't matter wtf people do or say...

1 ReplyBest thing ever.... 3 Day one guadians we talk about when we used to push Atheon.... and a guy pops up and says..."Yeah it's awesome I did it on him the previous week!!!" and we continued and asked him how... Needless to say the story he came up with was hilarious... Something like, one of the fireteam goes behind him when he is in the middle and uses Stormcaller to push him... We kinda booted him after that.

pugged a random for Oryx once who claimed to be a day 1 player but recently switched from Xbox 1 to PS4 which was why he had a low grimoire. whatever. anyway. as a joke i said "okay guys, once we stagger Oryx im gonna pull the plug just like how we did his son, wait til i get back before you detonate." we all laughed. he didn't. instead he said "What's so funny?" ... awkward silence. lol ::sigh:: Even if you did Crota legit every single time, you should know.

I went into a kf and when the aura died on warpriest I said 'come on guys it's not harder than hard mode crota was at lvl 31. I heard mm and yeahs and 'i soloed that shit' Check their moments of triumphs afterwards nothing. Checked grimiore. Nothing

Reminds me of the Rick & Morty episode where he makes something up, the kids laugh, and he tells them he made it up, start thinking for yourselves XD Seriously, nobody cares if you're year 1 or year 2, so stop trying to hide if you're year 2. Nobody is going to say "omg, what a lame year 2 poser, somebody kick him even though he is a decent player." 5 RepliesFor me, it's very disappointing when I help a new player through VoG or CE,and they either ask or I tell them that the stuff in the raid isn't really relevant anymore, hearing "Well, what was the point then?" makes me a little sad. We had some bad ass stuff in year one. To be honest, I can't really say that about the gear in year two, with the exception of a couple things. All the gear now feels... dull and boring.

And buying five heavy ammo packs for one strange coin was the good old days. I'd farm those little coins in PoE and wait for that shady hobo to visit and buy so much. God, year one was fun.
