-Taken phase of the Golgoroth fight
-Silly lag-switching thrall swarm your damage dealers
-Gaze holder fires dragons breath rocket under teammates, between Golgoroth's barrages.
*victory*
Just wanted to share my strategy with the community :)
Edit: Guys and Gals, as the gaze holder I use doctrine of passing to destroy the orbs. They don't take very much :p
Edit 2: If your strategy works well, don't bother bashing mine. It simply allows for a more focused and less panicked damage squad. I get that a tether between the Golg and the team works, but you have limited supers and less limited heavy ammo.
-
What, someone using a different strat? Quik guys let's get the torches and pitch forks.
-
Each to their own but 1 tether does the trick anyway
-
Bubble with helm of Saint 14 will also take care of the thrall spawning behind the dps team on the taken round.
-
Why bother? Have everyone stack in the bubble in the bottom, and have gaze taker drop the orb and then gen gaze. First burn should do over 50% and the second burn he will be dead as the taken are just starting to spawn. Just need two hunters and a weapons of light.
-
That is a good strategy thanks for sharing. We use a Titan bubble with the Helm of St 14 and a Warlock with electricity.
-
Stopped reading at Lag switching thralls
-
Lag switching thralls haha! I use supercell because you kill two balls and it reloads
-
When I hold the gaze I use my Nirwen's with Outlaw lol. The orbs count as "Precision Kills"

Edited by SpakulatorX: 2/12/2016 1:52:56 PMGaze holders generally use machine gun to shoot orbs... so yea, not the best idea. Edit: I understand not everyone uses a machine gun (nor did I say everyone did), so stop crying. I also understand most of you are still stuck on normal kf raids, which is fine you can use really anything on normal. Edit 2: I understand shade step messes with the orbs. Do you use shade step with your titan? Your warlock? If so please nerf.
-
Aaaa, Nightstalker simply shoots the ground at Golgy's feet......you shoot Golgy dead, gaze holder dosnt have to do a thing.
-
We just tether our feet on taken round.
-
Tether the ground so you hit everything as well as the boss. Throw solar grenades on the ground. Throw vortex grenades on the ground.
-
But dragons breath and black spindle can't both be equipped :p
-
Never thought of that, clever idea, I'll spread it around when I raid
-
Probably a good thing. Personally I use my Stormcaller to protect the team during Taken. Seems to work for the lfg people I run into. For challenge I'm usually 4th so it is a bit more complicated. If I had dragon's breath I'd try this though.
-
Edited by M4LFERY: 2/12/2016 1:40:42 PM
there is a place when the gaze orbs cant hit you, you can enter in the first column of the left, you only have to slide trought the chitin
Dont tell this to anybody, is our secret
-
Tether between teammates and Golg. And/or use Stormcaller to clear up the mess. /thread.
-
Edited by Rin: 2/12/2016 4:55:03 PMWhenever it's the taken thrall, I just equip my sword, pop a heavy synth and slash the thralls. And I tend to dismantle every dragon's breath I get
-
I usually stormcaller them away from the team. Makes my super feel useful
-
Edited by bobswerski: 2/12/2016 3:42:13 PMI found it to be less effective than I had hoped. it doesn't last long enough and is kinda seizure-inducing. Tether is probably better and we just kinda chuck grenades in there periodically. We can also spare a hammerbro if it gets hairy since everyone has 320 spindles.
-
good idea! Also: last night I had a team where the "weapons" titan popped his bubble off to the side of where everyone stands to DPS ---*BEFORE* dropping the orb, everyone dropped in BEHIND his bubble, dropped the orb, walked through the bubble into the aura, boom, whole team has weapons, and more importantly everyone s there right away, no more stragglers getting into aura late, no more waiting on the aura to drop too late.
-
Idk why is it needed when you can simply tether the ground, it will tether both golgoroth and the adds
-
good tip. thx.
-
Interesting idea
-
Shadestep. Don't even fire a single bullet
-
So much easier to use a scout to shoot gaze, what I do is I tell everyone to go down in the pit and pop a weapons of light behind the L1 orb, and then I shoot down the orb with heavy machine gun and take the gaze with a scout (hung jury, mida...)
