Early Crimson Doubles Feedback For Cozmo: Code Word, Underwhelming...

So I ran a lot of games earlier this afternoon after the Patch dropped... I gotta say this was a good opportunity for Bungie to make something interesting, but they completely dropped the ball to nobody's surprise. EVERYTHING about this event is underwhelming... The buff you got when your partner dies is underwhelming ... The rewards are underwhelming... and lazy might I add. Legendary engrams from bounties? Seriously? And they don't even decrypt at my Light Level. The Crimson Candy Consumable is very underwhelming... it is almost useless. We have Motes to upgrade things already. Just another lazy thing to add. The special ammo changes are underwhelming and harmful... people kill time and wait for Special Ammo Crates. You can switch to a sidearm, and then another weapon and have special. Such a lazy, poorly executed event... geesh, that kills me to say that because I love playing PvP, despite its many issues. Unless there are more Quests that Lord Shaxx gives you, the Quest is very underwhelming... it's almost laughable. On top of all this... still... no... matchmaking. Bungie, you failed yet again to deliver a decent event. Festival of the Lost was even better than this.

  • The drop rate for ghosts is ABYSMAL. The drop rate for 320 ghosts is NON-EXISTANT! Bungie kept mentioning chances of getting a 320 ghost this event, but what they didn't say was it was a 0.04% chance. A 1 step quest that just has you complete, not even have to win, 7 matches is a joke, even for a 1 week event. The bounties are easy and I like how each one drops a legendary engram though, it's nice to have more marks (because the items they turn into aren't worth a damn). I quite enjoy the actual Crimson Doubles mode, but it's sweaty as hell. I wouldn't mind if this game mode entered into the weekly rotation.
