Bump, the numbers dont lie, 22.7% of people have done one of the original raids, 15.5% have done a hard mode original, 9.1% have done the ttk, and 3.9% have done the ttk hard mode. Cant argue with numbers. Lfg sites are trash. Totally agree with you dude, solo players get the shaft

Well, among many things, this doesn't go off of active players, but total number of games sold vs how many did the activity. Always going to be low numbers when comparing something like that using crap metrics.

It doesn't go off of games sold. It goes off of games played. Whether these people are still playing (highly doubtful) is another story. And read the below posts from what i said before. To ignore these numbers is silly. Do they tell the whole story? No of course not, but they highlight a huge problem. People can fanboy this all they want the numbers of active players is dwindling and will continue till this spring release of content that is so desperately needed. That solo players will obviously be locked out of because we are the devil according to bungie and many of the fanboys here

How are they far off? Does PlayStation lie or something? Just made this up? Idk the numbers for that trophy yet but ill find out. Ignoring straight up evidence you probably think we didn't land on the moon...

What I mean by far off is think about how many have that trophy. Is there one for beating TTK story line? How many have that? Then check raid completion trophies and compare the numbers. What you posted included players that bought the game, played it for a few hours and then took it back. Try to get a more accurate number for raids by only using active players and that 9% or whatever might even turn into 40% or more.

Then what about the millions of players bungie says they have? Like i said its probably significantly less now because of issues like this but that doesn't change the fact that casual players or solo players dont play raids because getting six people together is difficult. Not for super mlg teams obviously but the majority still dont play. By your own 40% that still leaves 60% which havnt played. Even bungie has used this trophies numbers in the past. And even high end players have said they are the only ones playing now. And look at the threads on this forum (which i know is not a clear representation but you cant ignore them outright), lots of people want this. And it doesn't effect you minority mlg teams as you dont have to matchmake. Its only a way of getting people at leadt into the raid. In game lfg would help immensely as well. Ill try to find out more numbers but to ignore the flat out facts is ludicrous. This is obviously a problem that a minority of players get end game content.

I should have been clear. I agree with you 100% but all I was trying to say is that your percentages are wrong due to active (by active, I mean players that have at least beat TTK story and have a full legendary set up) vs inactive/unsatisfied players that took it back right away (still count as registered users because they made a character).

Fair enough. I've just been waving this flag for a while so i kinda just dump every thing i have on these threads. Its just so frustrating that because i cant get five other people to play i cant see end game or participate in an increasing large amount of pvp. I love this game but being a solo player it doesn't love me at all hahaha

I just flat out stopped caring. I feel good with 316, 314, 311 characters so I just don't even think about the raid, even if it had match making or in-game lfg. My friends will message me for a raid, just need one more and 9/10 I'll decline. Kings Fall, to me is too much mechanics, not enough skill. A lv310 VoG would make me raid weekly again though.

I liked the VoG! But ya there's no point now cuz there's no rewards but id really push if that came back. I enjoyed that raid a lot, maybe its nostalgia but ya it was fun.

You're forgetting those numbers include every single person who has ever player destiny even if they only played for 1 minute at a friends house or rented the game to just never buy it

There is no split screen or mechanism like that so you can't play at a friends house unless its there account. Renting is also a thing if the past so that would less and a percent. If you have multiple accounts that again accounts for very little. And by bungie's own number of players (used to millions most likely because of their behavior its significantly less now) that still leaves a gigantic majority of players who havnt done a raid, period. At best the number would go up several percentage points. Facts are facts. No matchmaking, people arnt going to raid or trials or whatever. And no other game on the market makes you go outside of the game just to play. End of story

Then rake into account all the PvP only players who just choose not to raid which there's ajuga chunk of these guys as well. Raids can't have regular matchmaking. It ruins it for teams. One guy lags out or switches characters? Then some random whose not wanting to participate gets put in. If they create an optional matchmaking which you can turn off for your session then that would work. Also give players using the matchmaking the ability to set parameters for their queue such as minimum completions or minimum light level. They will also need to include a vote to kick yo get rid of trolls and AFKers. This will make the groups formed through the system have a better chance of a smooth run and minimize the trolls/people who want rewards for doing nothing.

You cant set parameters for matchmaking that's the same as the ludicrous requirements for lfg sites which is why we have this problem in the first place. And no renting does not account for a lot especially if you look at bungie's actual sale numbers and pre-orders. And bungie's own numbers which was that there were millions of players (which will now be significantly less because of bungie's actions) you have to understand what these numbers mean. Are they perfect? No of course not. But you have to think there is a big problem if these numbers even exist.

Yes you can add parameters. Cause it wouldn't be drastic it'd be a max of 5 minimum completions etc. for smoother runs

Smooth runs for the upper class players. That doesn't help casual solo players like myself. How can i get fove completions if i need to people to play? Its an endless cycle of shutting people out. Yes for you super teams with dedicated raiders and mlg masters its great, but you're shutting out a large part of the community just cuz you want a smoother experience. Play with your team, leave others alone and let us at least try it. I realize you're very exclusive and want the raid to be a private club but there are new players as well. How is a new player supposed to get five completions? You can set parameters, its the same thing as lfg which is beyond ridiculous.

You're talking matchmaking then. Not lfg. Putting parameters is the same thing as the state of lfg now. You help people? Awesome, we need more like that. But its not helping if you only want to be playing with specific people. Like i said, dont want to be matchmade with anyone? Go with a full team. You have the clan and the members and the raid team so you look for your group of friends to play with. Some people need the help or they'll never get into a raid or now the pvp. Picking and choosing people based on what they've done already is exactly what we have now and no one is raiding or playing this game so if you want more people to play you need to cut it with the exclusive stuff cuz how are new players supposed to raid? Its a vicious cycle

No the parameters wouldn't be like LFG at all. Parameters wouldn't allow any out of line requirements. They'd basically match you up with people of similar completions and light level. The player could choose if they want it to match make based off connection or based on similar completions. It's nothing about being exclusive I help people with no raiding experience at all, I've taken a 269 light through normal and a 295 through hard. I just know if it doesn't matchmake people with similar completions you'll have a bumpy and unpleasant raid due to the inept two elitist belittling the inexperienced. By keeping it to similar completions that's less likely to happen

But putting a requirement of completions will only serve to shunk the large part of the community in one pile and leave the hardcore minority in the other. Putting hurdles in peoples way is why we are in this mess to begin with. If you help lower lvls thats awesome and we need more, but remember you're a tiny minority of people. Not everyone is lining up to help new players or people who just cant get a raid. And then the problem of not getting a full fire team, havnt to wait and send out a ton of messages for whatever two people. Dont get me wrong i know matchmaking will be rough, but it will plug more holes than it makes. Is it a perfect idea? Of course not and it comes with a great deal of problems but destiny is going into the ground because people have done all they can do. And i dont blame people for not wanting to go to third party just to play. In game lfg and matchmaking are two sides to a coin and neither are perfect, but it would help. Putting requirements will just serve to continue this trend of cutting people out.

You think bungie could do something that complicated? At this point they could screw up toast. And you're missing the point, if you go off similar completions it still lumps new players and players like myself in one camp, and the super teams in the other.

Not my fault it's a few simple clicks to find a group get it done. The whole reason why he can't is either bad or not high level enough or perhaps both. Everyone on here needs a psychiatrist and get off destiny if you're that salty.
