Keep in mind that SBMM doesn't guarantee a fair fight. I already mentioned that it can be abused. I can't abuse connection-based, and really, was matchmaking truly that awful in Y1? No, it was fine.

Yes, you mentioned it could be abused that is what pissed me off and I don't even play PVP. You said, being a Sherpa you could have a lower skilled player pull you into a lower skilled match and pub stomp them. My point, pub stomping noobs and casuals might be fun for you but it's probably not for them. I'm guessing that's why PVP is despised by so many. Your like a heavy weight fighter that doesn't want to fight other heavyweights because it's too much of a sweaty challenge. You saying if Bungie switches to SBMM you can enter a flyweight contest and rek everyone is just lame. I think connectivity should come first and foremost but elites crying because it's not fun to play other elites just makes me laugh.

It isn't as if I won't meet people of my caliber without SBMM. I just won't be in a lobby comprised of [i]only[/i] those people. Also, with connection-based, the skill-gap can't be abused. I'm entirely willing to enter tough matches. I went into a few yesterday, in fact. But at some point, I'd like to be able to enter solo and not have to keep it at 100% intensity.

And you don't think lesser skilled players feel that way too? You think they want 200% intensity all the time? The minute you stop lobbying for connection-based because of the connection and ask for it to be connection based so you have weak players to give you an easier win, you become a punk IMO. But hey, as I said I don't even play PVP so good luck and I hope you win. I hope it stays connection based and the tide of salty noob tears raises your K/D to new heights. Then I hope they all stop playing and PVP dies so they are forced to focus on destroying PVE again.
