It sounds like a good idea but the good players will continue to play with fire teams. Solo mode would only be good for bounty runs. There will be a lot of stat checking and backing out if matchmaking was to be used competitively.

Well backing out would mean a loss.. I think there's more people just doing the bounties then aiming for flawless. I do it for the legendary marks! And the gold tier package can be pretty good.
