How to fix the Taken Kings RNG system:
All gear in Kings Fall Normal Mode should drop at 310 exactly
All gear in Kings Fall Hard Mode should drop at 320 exactly
All gear from Trials of Osiris should drop at 320 exactly
All Iron Banner Gear should drop at 320 exactly
Nightfall should NEVER drop loot lower than your light level when you completed it.
All year 2 exotics should drop at 320 exactly
I believe that all end game gear should drop at max level, as it was before Taken King. This new system just extends the boring grind to hit max level. It also limits your options even MORE since 320 gear is so rare.
Bunch of noobs hating on my ideas. This is the way ALL OF DESTINY YEAR 1 WAS

Who cares? You don't have to infuse if you don't want to. If you want 320 quick, wear raid gear. If you wanna look sexy, infuse. Just look at my hunter.

I think the current system would work better if there was more end game content to get these high drops

How about this Iron banner drops 310 Iron Banner rank 5 drops 320 Trials drops 310 Lighthouse drops 320 Kings fall normal 310 Kings fall hard 320 Nightfall drops whatever your current light level is when you completed it or higher Exotics drop at 320 just cause they're exotic (I would be ok with making them a little more rare if this were to happen)

I'm with you except for IB, there's no challenge to grinding it out, not like normal vs hardmode raid. I guess if your just saying the one piece of gear from hitting rank 5 be 320, then that would be fine. Not like bungie is going to implement though

True I doubt Bungie even still reads this stuff. They're more focused on fixing other pointless stuff. But it takes me like 5 days to hit rank 5 I think we should get at least 1 320 piece of gear for all of that

No it wouldn't because you need to be 300+ light to do any of those activities with success. The activities I listed are all end game. They should provide the highest level gear that's the whole point. Once you beat them you beat the game. Being max light is not the motive that keeps people playing, it's the fun they have. Getting 290 ghosts after soloing a nightfall can really piss you off. Or getting a 307 ghost in kings fall when you already have a 318.

With the exotic kiosk, one could easily hit max light using some glimmer and exotic shards.

Not true. You could only have one armor and one weapon. You will need a lot more than that to bit 320.
