During year one Destiny was great, the exotics actually deserved their title. I wasn't getting hang banged by castle, weasel, caterpillar and all the other animals of the kingdom. You didn't have to worry about infusing each piece of armor and weapons 20+ times just to make them useable. The gunsmith would let you reforge your awesome guns if you had a crap perk roll. Primary weapons could actually have elemental damage, which was cool but honestly not that drastically helpful anyway, yet you still felt the need to take away the stale candy from the children. With the taken king however, you have literally selected every fun aspect of the game and taken it away from us while making every single piece of year one gear utterly useless. Why would you make someone faithful to your game suffer this way, not even Satan is this sadistic. You never listen to your fan base, your servers are garbage, and exotics nowadays are pathetic.. You've worked very hard at completely ruining this game with each update, and it's a shame because it started out great

Edited by Kweh: 2/9/2016 4:29:43 AMIt seems they want the MMO player time investment, without the MMO lol. MMO's generally feel like a job. I've played at least 20 of them and all of them require some type of repeated commitment. Destiny has a false sense of this. What is really keeping people around is the addiction and/or the comradery of friends. It really isn't the content. How many times can you have fun repeating the small amount content this game has, on top of the crippling loot system lol. I mean seriously. It has to be coming from additional sources as mentioned. You gotta be some sort of masochist to deal with this kind of punishment alone. Plenty of games reward you better for the time invested.

Unfortunately, they made some things a lot more grindier and then took away powerful weapons to boot. Now we just have shades of mediocre.

I wrote in my own vote: yawn fest

To answer your question, it's a game. You should approach it that way and chill out.
-
Neither

Like an ex-wife. You get nothing but aggrevation. Plus you were glad when you left it.

Year one weapons are not totally useless. I would say that any current endgame activity yes it loses its value, but those weapons still take on any enemy that is below level 34. The taken encounters on the planets I cannot notice a difference for example.

Edited by Cronoleo: 2/9/2016 4:43:29 AMAmen brother. Their servers are garbage and they have taken the fun out.

Destiny is just a game. Always has been. Play it how you wish. Those that treat it as a "job" do so by choice.
-
Full time pos chore from what I remember.

I'll never understand this type of sentiment. Be an adult, take responsibility for something you do that's 100% YOUR OWN CHOICE. If any game feels unrewarding at any level then stop playing it. If you continue to play a game that's unrewarding to you then that's on you. Most people have a food they find distasteful, something they don't like. Do you? Assuming you do, are you eating that food for dinner every night? Judging from your post, you do and then you blame the grocery store for selling it to you...

A scam...a lie.

Game. Go work a full time job. It's a lot harder...
-
A shitty chore with little reward
-
Yeah, it's like a full time job where YOU pay to work in it!
-
Oryx has "taken" away the fun
-
It's an unfixable lag pot of fcuked up nerfs and dwindling glitchy content !!!
-
What is a "hang bang?"
-
Full time job, shoveling manure on a pig farm with a pitch fork, always working overtime without getting paid for it. There I fixed your title.

Edited by BoomerSooner51: 2/8/2016 3:18:24 AMThis game has evolved into only doing the content I want to do. Doesn't matter how easy or quickly completed the content is, if I don't want to do it then I don't. If you don't find something enjoyable then don't do it. This is what I've been doing and it's drastically reduced my burnout. I may not have access to or as many opportunities for high end gear, but I don't hate my time in this game as much as I used to.

Not a job, an addiction.

Look up pics of hell online and the picture will become clear.

A game (that once had potential).

Full time job!
