I believe everyone is mistaken. WE are the evil ones, mindless killing drones. And for who? The one that resurrected us from the dead? Yup. We asked no questions. We just picked up our weapons and killed. Many "guardians" have put these pieces together for us to absorb, but we ignore and kill more. There is no peace as long as we live or continue to be manipulated by the traveler's "light."

To be honest; if we're fighting beings like Crota and Oryx, then even if we aren't the heroes we definitely aren't the villains.

This is a good point. We wake up, are given guns and told to kill. We're destroying every other race in the galaxy. There is very little explanation given ("I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain"); we're just sent out to kill gods and dads of gods, for loot.

A leader who will see not only the Traveler's needs, but the needs of the City and its people. A leader who will guide us and focus our efforts so we may convey the will of the people beyond our walls, reclaim our civilizations, push the Darkness back, and reforge our Golden Age. This has been our noble intent since the beginning. Now... I believe you owe me a little "talk," about defending the City.

You forgot the part where that one leader is a dictator. No one who knows the truth want to be slaves to a cult...well except future war cult. Mostly that's cause we are willing to fight, unlike some others whom we won't mention...

We know the Traveler has immense power, gave us the Guardians, is the sole reason humans still exist, and may very well be a crucial part of pushing back the Darkness and reforging our Golden Age. They choose to run and abandon all that has kept them safe so they might try to save themselves and themselves alone. They are cowards.

Yeah...you guys are still more worried about power and control. Sadly new monarchy is more of a cult than future war cult. I say stop worrying about personal gain of power and fight the good fight.

As it is, the Consensus must convene to make any decisions, and as each member has a varying opinion, very little, if any, work gets done. Every army needs a good leader, but as it is, our leaders cannot agree on anything. This is why we need a sole leader to replace the indecisive. To selectively focus our efforts, and make the crucial decisions necessary to win this war against the Darkness. As for control and power... The City already has the power, but it lacks control... the discipline to use that power effectively to accomplish a goal. That is where New Monarchy steps in...

I would believe that...if I were a sheep. Nee monarchy is trying to push a dictatorship in order to control. It has nothing to do with helping thw city, just power. Future war cult and dead orbit may have crazy and cowardly ideals respectively...but at least they are both upfront about it. Kinda begs the question though...if the vanguard are willing to let a faction like new monarchy into the tower...what did the faction they kick out do that's so much worse.

All I can say it when the day comes that the City falls under seige, it will be New Monarchy standing guard and protecting those who cannot fend for themselves... Not just Guardians... people. Soldiers shedding blood as much as Guardians their light in defense of the City, so that the citizens of the Last City may live to see the day when it is known as the First City, and Humanity to reach another Golden Age...

Yeah...many dictators were of the people once. One man should not be allowed to rule over all. There is a reason the vanguard are three of each class. They each work in their own way, and compliment each other. Together they are stronger and wiser than a single leader. One man ruling will be the end of the last city. New monarchy's ideals are flawed, and would only work in a perfect world. Some may follow...but you will never have enough sheep following you to make one man king over all. Give up the one king above others mentality...cause I guarantee you it will never happen.

Lord Shaxx has proven himself a capable leader who would never do anything but fight to maintain and enhance the Citu and its people. Mora Sov has proven that a single ruler is not only possible, but incredibly capable, and can accomplish many things. You say that this leader would be corrupted, or that simply because they are the leader, that they would become crazy for power or desire to control everything. Some people are capable of seeing the big picture... seeing what is really necessary... and will working to get it done. That is but [u]one[/u] of the qualities we seek to determine who would be our ideal leader.

The queen is a rarity amongst the people...and the awoken chose to go to the reef. Funny thing is I like the ideals of new monarchy...except that seventh tenant. The seventh tenant undermines the people. There are many more people in the city, and you are basically seeking a majority vote to abolish voting while also putting into power a single unimpeachable man. What happens to those that don't want that...you going to cast them out? What we have now works...and new monarchy is the only one that actually seeks to change that...in their favor. Why else would it even be suggested...cause I seriously doubt that anyone outside of new monarchy will be the king.

The problem is, you don't seem to understand that what we have now [i]doesn't[/i] work. Each member of the consensus has their own idea of what we should do, and they never agree on anything. The City's resources are spread thin over multiple tasks and nothing ever gets done. And as for the queen, we actually can consider her a comparison, as it is a very similar situation. We were even considering her as a possible leader for the City. But... things happened... Regardless, you still have yet to say something you have not repeated over the several times I have disuaded your arguelment before...
