I just remember all the "Hunt the truth" ads, "Spartan Locke vs Chief" trailers, & "Why did Chief go AWOL" stuff. And from watching a LP & from what others said...none of that held up. Locke & Chief fought once. Chief going AWOL was...just not that big of a thing at all. And guess "Hunt the truth" could be for it setting up Halo 6 but...it was all marketed as Locke vs Chief which it really wasn't. Edit: Guess I liked the characters. Well some of them....well maybe only Buck.

I didn't know what was going on in the campaign. I liked that they had characters with emotions, Nathan Fillion, and the Arbiter...but I don't know, I didn't really enjoy it. The ending was also shitty.

Halo 5 threw everything that the Halo 4 writer set up for the Reclaimer trilogy and decided to come up with something on the same level as Spartan Ops. It is mediocre and out of place. It doesn't fit in the series as a sequel to MC story. If the game was what it should've been, a spinoff called "Halo: Guardian" with MC cameo appearance, I would've understand the lack of him being present in the story. But since its a sequel to Halo 4 that it no way ties up with it, it is horrible. I would also like to point out that if the game was a stand alone with no lore or background story/comic, it would've been hated even more. The games does very little to explain what is happening much like previous Halo with the exception of 4. I though 343 was going to actually put even more effort into making a story that doesn't need to rely on the EU to be understood like in Halo 4 but that isn't case here.

I enjoyed the campaign, thought all the new mechanics and the whole story was cool. Granted it could have been better story wise, but I've never felt the Halo campaigns have ever been really strong in the first place. It's sad to see so many people disappointed about the campaign, but I thought it was good. The advertising was done terribly and made you think there was much more to the game, sadly there wasn't. That's about the only thing I could say I was disappointed about, I just expected a little more.

I liked the H5 campaign. 343 did a good rebound from H4. Granted H4 messed up the whole 343 story. But 343 is working with what they got. Overall i enjoyed the H5 campaign. Had the first look at the Elite home world so that was awesome. H4 is completely useless. I feel like 343 should have started their trilogy with the H5 story. Would have been much better. Then have a side story of how Chief was found from a Spartan 4/ODST perspective

Damn. That sucks dude. You're the one who made the countdown thread to h5 right? Tbh, I only played like 2 missions. I really liked playing as chief, but I immediately stopped. I read so much bad shit that I didn't want to end up in the same boat. I played the older halos couch co op with friends at their house, but since we all went our separate ways, I played it with my brother on live. My bro doesn't like halo, so I ended up playing alone and figured I'd leave campaign. Maybe when h6 comes out I'll play through 5 into 6. Perhaps leading into 6 might make a sorta salvaged experience? [spoiler]that's if I'm even gaming still though.[/spoiler] Do you like the multiplayer a lot? Multiplayer is usually where the longevity of halo is. I know the playlists are still being added, but I'm still pretty happy that the multiplayer is good aside from shitty maps like that overgrowth or whatever map.

Halo 5 has like the best story. And I really don't know what difficulty has to do with the plot. Thread is pretty much " I beat halo 5 on legendary. By the way the story sucked."
