Destiny is the first game I have really played in a very long time. Over 1000 hours now and still enjoying despite the current issues. Never really one for PVP but this game has changed that for me. I've only recently started to get better at PVP but the damage already done to my KD will be hard to rectify without a reset. So my question is just that. Is it worth resetting a character or two?

1 ReplyI mean if you always have a 0.6 k/d regardless of a new character or not that's what you are going to have. Stats might not show it right away but skill will
-
1 ReplyI like to keep my kd 2 or somewhat close but would never restart lol. I had a solid 1.2 till trials came out and I realized pvp was the way to good loot so I had to get gud
-
1 ReplyYou just have to invest a lot of time to over come your learning curve. My k/d in battlefield 3 was garbage at first because of learning the game and trying out guns. Once I knew how to play and what weapons to use it slowly started going up. It'll be worth the time, and you keep the memories from your character alive.

2 RepliesDude , if you restart a character you will only have to care MORE about your Stats than before. As example. Now you have a low KD but you can improve it every day you playing , even if its just a 0,004 percent better than the day before. But if you restart and have some good games and you on a 2,0 KD , you will have trouble holding that KD at its Point. Its much harder and you will end up in a state of a tryhard. Playing only for that KD We all started playing with low KD's becaue the lack of skill , but you can get better everyday. I had a starting KD on destiny like 0,8 and now im slowly growing it , im on my Way to a 1.4 KD , last week i managed a average of 1,6+ And im proud seeing it going up a bit even if i trashed it on my noob days.

1 ReplyNo way

1 ReplyI would say no. I don't even know my KD and I was trash at crucible when I first started. Sometimes I let my younger brothers play too so for me, KD is irrelevant. If you play mostly PVP then maybe, but I cringe just thinking about running through those level 7 moon missions again

1 ReplyI said yes, just cuz I want op to start over
-
The majority of high KD players restart to boost their stats. I know pvp clan Admins who fall below their own KD limits who do this. Quite pathetic really.
-
In my opinion you need a little bit more practice otherwise restarting will be for nothing consistently finish positive while fragging high before you restart. I had a friend who restarted a character and after all the hours he put in to building it back up his kd is currently .2 lower then it wasXD

I'd much rather be good than look good.

Edited by Daddy Chill (Adept): 1/26/2016 7:01:04 PMWhy restart your entire progress for a number that has no real impact on your game. If you're really better than you say then you can move your kd up easily. It's not hard to move kd and I have been playing since day 1. My rumble kdr has dropped from 1.69 to 1.63 within the past month, however I was on a solid rise from 1.5 with a goal of 1.7 but I couldn't quite make it ):!

5 RepliesYou have 0.6 kd...if you think restarting is going to change that, then I'm sorry to inform you. It won't.
-
2 Repliesbeen playing the same three characters since the beginning and in the beginning I sucked so bad my kd was like .2 maybe worse.. its taking forever to bring that avg up but, I really don't care.. the layers I play with know that I am better than my kd suggests and I keep getting better.. its probably around 1 at this point..

1 ReplyI've invested hundreds of hours on each characters in PvP, they each have a decent k/d. I've shown improvement, and with your current characters, it'd be more impressive to see more hours of PvP time instead of a higher K/D. Show improvement with what you have now. ~TheGreatNike

1 ReplyNah man I wouldn't worry about it. You'll get better the more you play. I was 0.6 a few months ago, went into the crucible to do some quests and enjoyed it. Now I'm 1.2. Got a fair few matches recently over 3+. It's just finding the right setup and you'll get a good flow going

Make another character like your main and Transfer gear and basically improve KD Don't ask me for tips look at my KD (Lenny)

GOD NO!!! First, who cares about PvP stats or PvP in general? And really, that's it.

Everyone goes through the struggles of learning and failing first. It's so funny how many people I've seen make a new handle on a cod game 3 times to try and start a high kd.
-
No. People worth a lick of salt use the Grimoire for K/D.
-
1 ReplyDestiny keeps over all and recent kd. Recent is the last 6 month I believe which is a better idea of your current skill.
-
When you check mine you would say yes
-
Idk about stats on this site/app, but if you delete and restart all three sprites and don't play for a little bit, your dtr stats will reset since they don't have any Stat info. It says so on their sites Q&A.
-
6 RepliesForget about ur kd. Get urself in a friendly clan and never worry bout it again...
-
1 ReplyHad to troll and select Yes, just had to.
-
Probably not. If people have any sense they'll check your weekly k/d when ascertaining skill. Mine's been positive for months (not by much admittedly!) but my total average is still a 0.88.
-
Hell no.... Unless I'd want to be some awesome streamer. But I am just the average pvp player that will go positive but just barely. Nothing special.
